Course Curriculum Overview

4

In my course civil engineering the curriculum was good after our batch the curriculum was changed. In my first year we had many other branches subjects but now it is not there except some subjects like basic coding. Then after 1st year we had our core subjects. Some of our faculty are really great. It is very related to field. Some of them need to write on board instead of just showing ppts. Some faculty makes exams easy and some make it hard

Internships Opportunities

2.5

U get your summer internships in 3rd year which is for 2 months and u get some 6 months intern in 4th year where they need to give full time also Some of the companies really pay well and some of them don't Doing intern in 3rd year helps in placements. I didn't get any intern But you have to do any one intern which is mandatory after our batch. You can do in our college also.

Placement Experience

4

In your 4th year we can sit for placements. We are not supposed to list our companies and salaries according to our college policy. The highest would be around 44lpa in cse i think last year it was 88lpa. ( Everyone don't get like it) Most of the students will be placed unless you are unlucky. Around 80% will be placed. Doing my job which I got through my college placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our course fee is 62500 per sem. But it is not for everyone it is for category of general and obc with income above 5lpa. Mine was below one lakh Category so I don't have any course fee. If it above 1 and below 5 it is 22500 per sem. SC and ST students don't have tution fee. If we study well we get scholarship from government (merit scholarship) of course I didn't get any scholarship. If u do phd here u would get around 40k stipend and 12k for mtech

Campus Life

2.5

There are many groups in the college and they make their events regularly and there are associations also which need to be improved. We get wifi in college and lan wires in hostel rooms. The rooms are small and bathrooms are also not good and coming to food it is bad. Coming to sports it is good u are encouraged to play there are many occasions like internit, intramurals, etc . The Library is very good you get most of the books u want and a digital room to avail desktops also.

Hostel Facilities

1

Here the hostel fee is separate and mess fee is separate. Hostel fee is 17k per sem and mess fee is 1725 per 15days. Messes are private contacts so they want to save money the food is bad, most of our friends eat outside. Hostels will be inside the college. You have book room in student portals and pay ,fee seperate links will be provided. In room we a chair (old and dusty), table(avg) and a cot without bed and 2 cupboards.

Admission

After giving your jee mains you will have to apply through joosa where we need to give our mains details and sign into it and then we need to choose college and brach as options we get the highest priority and eligible option. We even get a estimate of what we are going to get and then we get actual one. Reservation will be there according to our caste and if we live in same state we get that also. We have to pay fee through joosa.(Be careful with this one, I would be likely to miss this one if my friend didn't inform) After we got our college there will be some more rounds if some one drops we get that seat instead. Then there will be csab round which I didn't applied.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
