Course Curriculum Overview
Industrial design is a multidisciplinary course and the subjects taught helps you to take a more holistic approach towards product development. 4 semesters in M.tech the first two are based on your subjects and labs, the last two semesters are for research project and thesis submission. The course curriculum and teaching approach could be improved to include subjects and hands on experience to achieve the same.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies offer 6 months and 11 months internship to m.tech students of various specialisations. These offers can be with or without a ppo clause. The average internship stipend would be somewhat around 40000.
Placement Experience
M.tech students become eligible for internship from 2nd senester itself. From 3rd semester they start getting full time opportunities too. Mtech students can go for 6 months or 11 months long internships if their guide permits. There are many big names among the companies visiting this campus including Microsoft, google, qualcomm, texas, tata, mahindra, bajaj, john deere, Mediatek, micron, tcs, infosys, accenture and many more.
Fees and Financial Aid
Two years fee for M.tech including tution, hostel, mess and everything rlse amounts to nearly 3 lakhs 25 thousand. On getting admitted for m.tech through gate score you are entitled to a monthly stipend of 12400.
Campus Life
There are various technical, cultural and sports events organised in the college, namely nitrutsav, cosmo, celebrity night, vriddhi etc. There are numerous clubs which also keep organising there own events and hackathons. Library here offers wide range of facilities and books. Classrooms are also technologically well equipped. Overall the campus and campus life is great with various opportunities and exposure.
Hostel Facilities
You generally get a sharing room for two people. You get a table, chair and bed each and a high speed lan connection in your room. Meal quality in mess is good and there is a range in the variety of food served.
Admission
Eligibility of M.Tech is through your gate score. You get specialisations based on your gate score after applying through ccmt. There are Areas of improvement in the admission process could include prior online booking of hostel seats as it creates disorder at the time of admission.
