Review of lovely professional university from a student POV

the curiculum is kindof okay, in first sem we were being taught python, basic level, we had other subjects like evs which are not related but still given, the course curriculum seems alright, in terms of how it prepares us for real-world applications it doesnt do much justice, the curiculum is 50% aligned to the current industry, my suggestion would be teach the new and upcoming students new tech that the corporate world uses

a lot of companies like Nvidia, Microsoft, Amazon come to this college to give internships, an internship in such companies starts from a stipend amount of 40K per month to upwards of 1.1L per month, otherwise, the average stipend is around 30-40K per month, although intership opportunities are abundant , it is very hard to grab due to the number of students applying for the same, the competition is very high

students are eligible for placements from 6th semester, quite a lot of companies visited the campus and made a lot of offers, something like 500+ companies and 1000+offers, highest package domestically is around 64L from google for sde role, the only thing that holds his college back is the number of students which take admission in a single course, which in turn raises the competition by tenfolds, for this cohert, around 8000 students will be competing for some 300-400 companies, this is the worst part about the college, the crowd is too much, too many people

the fee structure is 90000 for hostel 4 bed ac, 92000-96000 per sem, everyone receives a scholarship, the actual tuition amount is 1.2L per sem usually they increase the hostel price by 10k every year, there is no such financial aid available for students unless he/she is a sports player , there are openings for part-time employment in the campus, for example cashier at various stores

campus life is pretty fun, you have to be outgoing to enjoy the campus life, there is no particular fest of sort, but we do have occasional dj/edm nights organized by various clubs which are present in the campus, there are more than 100 clubs for one to choose from, be it technical or non-technical, the library is 4-5 stories, it has all the books that a student would need in his college life,

the room provided will be kind of small, you will have an almirah, and attached washroom, a table, a bed, and a chair, everything else can be bought from the store present below, I did not like the mess food, it doesn't suit me , overall the hostel experience has been good, one can take hostel while taking admission, if one chooses not to live in hostel, one can rent a room/pg in phagwara, lawgate,jalandhar,

the admission process was pretty simple, either you give jee mains, get a certain percentile like 90 and above, you can get the seat, or you can score above 90% in boards and get a seat or you can write lpunest which is their entrance test, these are the ways you can get admission, the lpunest exam was of medium level, the level was slightly higher than that of boards, the things i didnt like was they take in everyone and anyone, it would be recommened to set a cutoff in boards minimum, so that there is an even competition, too many people
