Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because of my passion. I am very passionate about art and craft and design to be specific. These force curriculum provided every kind of aspect that I wanted to pursue all the subjects of this course are very much practical based as this course prioritise practical knowledge over bookish knowledge. The frequency and timing of exams are very much punctual and strict. The professors and their teaching methods are very good and they are like our inspirations.

Internships Opportunities

4

As a first year student I haven't seen got an opportunity for an internship but I am sure from second year our internship program will start but I am pretty sure as we are in a practical field course companies like Amazon Google oneplus can easily be preferred for internships.

Fees and Financial Aid

All total this is a 5 years course and the complete cost of this course is around 10 lakhs and per semester the tuition fees is around 40000 . Yes our college increases the tuition fee by 10%. There are some scholarships available for students like the Swami Vivekananda scholarship program. As I am in the first year of the course that's why still I haven't taken any responsibilities but in future I am looking forward to it

Campus Life

4

The annual fest which is held mostly in the month of February is by the name of "Xavotsav". Followed by which there are other departmental fests and annual Sports too. In our common library there are various kinds of book of different genre starting from Psychology to art history books, the collection is huge . In our department classrooms there are Apple desktops allotted to all the students of batch. Also there are projectors with the help of which teachers explain their topics during the sports day all the events like running long jump basketball are covered our college also organises cricket and football tournaments. There are NCC and also social groups who are responsible for doing any kind of social works and it is open to all.

Admission

Eligibility for the multimedia 5 years integrated course was completely based on 12th marks, specially on English and any other three subjects. The cutoff for my course was not so high .I found the application form from my college website only from there I filled up the form and paid the application fees there was no entrance exam for our batch. Overall the procedure was good.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
