PG life in Punjab

The curriculum was based on practical and applied sciences rather than theory. I feel it will be an advantage in getting jobs and research field. The curriculum covered almost all aspects in this course field and it is based on application level training. More internship and placement opportunities should be included in the course program. Exams are of average difficulty and patterns of exams are quite interesting and easy to score.

Tution fees are very less as compared to another central universities and hostel fees are also similar to tuition fees. There is no increase in tution fees for many years. And University provide financial assistance to students who failed to pay the fees. The total education expenses are less than 1 lakh rupees after the completion of the course of 2 years. Hostel charges will be calculated as extra. All the central government scholarships and state government scholarships are providing in the university and approved by the university at proper times. For financial assistance there is a committee for giving finance assistant to eligible students. Campus placements are done based on departmental wise and the HOD and faculties are responsible for the campus placements happening in the university.

The University will conduct foundation days, convocation, Cultural fest , food fest, sports days , Book exhibition, blood donation camps , Holi and other cultural and regional celebrations . Most of the programmes will be conducted on the starting of an year. All the students can assess the programmes anytime and participate in it . Almost 5000+ books are available in the library and University tried to focus on major science field books than literature books. All the students and easily assess the books at the academic timings and students can issue books freely from the Library. Classroom are well air conditioned and provided with single person chairs and projector facilities. Sports fiels students are well encouraged in the physical education department and ground and equipment are available.

Eligibility for the course was CUET entrance exam marks. The application form, application fees and application dates are notified on the CUET website. The Reserved candidates have more benefits as compared to the general category. Cut off marks and admission procedures were in favour to Reserved candidates. Difficulty level is moderate for cuet exams. And exams will be conducted for 3 hours and it is based on computer based examination programmes. Admission procedures are completely transparent and University notify the selection list through their websites.
