Course Curriculum Overview
The course Curriculum is extremely flexible.I personally choosed the branch because Hci is a future field and will definately grow in the future. The curriculum also has a lot of practical application which makes us ready for jobs and real world problems . For improvement I would suggest that there should be more classes and More frequent labs . Exams are held thrice a semester two sessionals and one end sem. Exams are easy and can be aced with proper preparation.
Internships Opportunities
Around 50-60 companies provide internship in our college.Most of them are provided by Infosys and TCS and last year Amazon and Atlassian also provided interships to our students.the highest offered internship was of one lakhs.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements from 6 th semester. As far as I know around 100 companies visited our college and an total of 140 offers were made. Highest package offered was 90 lakhs but which company made the offer was. Not made available by the college . Around 85 percent students get placed in our college. I personally want to start working in the corporate after completing the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
I would say that the fees is a bit high as compared to other government colleges. Tution fees is generally constant for 2 to 3 years but mess and hostel fees increases. When I am graduated my estimates say that I would have spend around 16 lakhs including travels.Scholarships are not provided by the college but can easily be achieved if your state provides any kind of scholarship. As I am in my 1st year I haven't taken any employment jobs.
Campus Life
Campus is incomplete so I would say that there is nothing much you can do in our campus. There are total 3 fest organised by the college Annual cultural fest:Abhivyakti held in March Tech fest: Tantrafiesta held in October and Sport fest: Kshitij held in January. Books and journals are easily available in the library but the quantity is limited. Classrooms are well built with AC and facilities provided for reaching are extremely well and up to date Campus Life is not so well as our college has a small campus and less students and also all the clubs are newly founded. Our college has an NGO called Pahal which helps poor children.
Admission
I am enrolled in CSE("HCI and GT"). The admission is purely based on your rank in JEE MAINS examination I got 96.4 percentile in JEE MAINS and hence got admitted to the following course. The Jee mains application form can be found on their website and for the college you can find the Application form ,fees details etc on the official website of IIIT NAGPUR. JEE MAINS is held twice a year..and can be easily cracked with proper preparation. The entire admission process is extremely smooth but I would suggest that there should be more time given for admission.
