Dislikes
- Faculty, staff, their attitude towards students ,fee structure for the inferastructure they provide.
- Poor labs the number of students more than the number of pcs.
- Dress code within the college, poor management of the things in college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Every next person is pursuing btech and I am quite good in coding . There were two options for me in the near future pursuing bca or btech i chose btech as it was a techniqual degree. The exams of btech are held 2 times in a semester,one being mid and other being end, mid has low weightage but these exams are the one in which you need to give it your all so that you can score well overall,most people do not take it seriously and regret it later. In 'gehu' the academic scholarship only remains of you score well in these exams which keeps a competitive spirit for the children to perform well and save there money.
Placement Experience
So a rough idea i got in the first year is that for almost 4000 students there almost 300 to 400 good placements offer from within the campus. The companies that offer these placements are google (1 student) , microsoft(5 ), adobe(40), wipro(60), razorpay etc this is all based on data and is not 100 percent correct, for sitting in these placements a student must maintain 8 cgpa throughout there 8 semester.The highest package thst was offered last year was 84 lakhs and many othere which were quite good packages were near around 12 14 lakh and the average package was around 4 to 5 lakh .The students are aligible for placement in the 6th semester.If a student is not placed he may prep for masters for gate a better opportunity or he may take offcampus placement .
Fees and Financial Aid
Every year there is a fee increase of 5 percent, when taking admission college gives scholarship to students who have scored more than 75 percent in (physics, chemistry, maths ) 12th.The amount is near 27k for a semester the scholarship of this year gets deducted and amount comes near to 2.2 lakhs.the scholarship inreases by 5kwhen the percentage is above 80,increases 10k as percentage is above 85, increases 15k as percentage is above 90, increases 20k otherwise if it is more than that. The students who are from a army background gets 5percent extra discount and people having a state domicile gets 25 percent extra discount as well.
Campus Life
Campus life is quite happening with every festial bekng celebrated in the college campus, different hackathons taking place almost every week. Sports tournament inter as well as intra college take place every semester. There are various clubs to choose from in the college such as poetry ,debate, dance, drama etc .The books in the library are only a few to choose from and library has only capacity for 150 to 200 students. The faculty also is not quite experienced in gehu.
Admission
The admission process was quite easy,there were many people to help, all sorts of scholarships for academics,score in the 12th grade,everything was ok. There were many benifits for people of army background(5 percent off),uttarakhand state domicile discount(25 percent )and other discount for percentage of class 12th.
