Hansraj #GOOD or BAD!!

I had applied to other Du north Campus college as well Such as Kirori mal, ramjas, SGTB and venkateshwar College as well. But out of all these colleges the course i opt at mine was the top rated course in whole DU at my college So my preference was with Hansraj only first of all And also the environment of the course was really good. For admissions you have to go through Cuet and clear that in order to get admission The minimum cutoff for my course would be around 500/600 to get hansraj for a general category student...Read More

Hansraj college is one of the best colleges under University of Delhi. I have applied for almost every college which offered my course but my dream college was Hansraj for always. In the first round of counselling session, I got ramjas which was my 5th preference according to my list but I upgraded for the second round and then I got hansraj, my dream college. I chose this because the very first reason was its infrastructure, its academic excellence and our most loved shakrukh khan who also studied from here. I didn't get rejected from any college for my course but the other courses for that I have applied for, maths honours, I didn't get the seat in top colleges due to my low score for that course. CUET is the only and most preferred exam according to which admission is allocated to every individual. Cutoffs depends for every other courses and for the admission, the very first step is you must need to appear in CUET exam with proper subject combination according to ur preferred course. Then after result declaration, you need to prepare preference list of your preferred courses and colleges then according to your score, college is allocated to you then you have to accept the seat allocation and need to make the fee payment. As I said, Hansraj is among the top DU college so cut-offs are obviously very high. For our course the 12th standard minimum percentage required was 90 and a minimum CUET score of 750. For reserved and special categories obviously it differed but for General category the mentioned criteria was mandatory....Read More

I chose this college because of its stellar crowd and opportunities that are available here. Something which went wrong in my ceut preparation due to which I could not get a better college that is SRCC is basically silly mistakes in my exams and nothing else. I missed the cutoff for SRCC by 1 question and thats all. The admission process was quite easy as there is a common portal called the CSAS portal through which the admission process took place and everything was online and quite easy. I applied to St. Xavier's Kolkata and was selected in their Bsc Eco hons program. However when I got Hansraj , I withdrew my admission simply because of the vast networking experience I will get at Hansraj which is a little less in St Xavier's. The eligibility for Hansraj is CUET exam where one has to appear for english plus accountancy/mathematics and 2 other subjects that they have studied in their Class 12. I was allotted Shri guru Gobind Singh college of commerce before and definitely hansraj is way better in terms of exposure provided. I had the option to upgrade to srcc , hindu or lady Shri Ram. But I didn't. As the cutoff was way too high for srcc and lsr is a south campus college. Hindu is better for arts as hansraj is for commerce. Specifically for bcom hons. , I think hansraj is a good college after srcc . The exam for getting in DU is cuet and the cutoff for srcc was asking high as 782/800 where as for hansraj it stood at 771/800. As I knew there were no chances of getting into srcc I freezed at hansraj and I can say I am satisfied. Lady Shri Ram is a great college as well as it has the highest placement throughout DU . I didn't choose it as it was a south campus college which limits exposure and I had no wish for a instant placement after graduation....Read More
