My college experience

There are no good remarks besides that our faculty teachers are good and I learned something good. Bad remarks- not good campusing for biotechnology. Semester fees that one student is giving not worth it. Management is also poor.

To be very frank, my friend suggested me this college. Also, I didn't get a chance in medicals and I want to study bio-related subjects.. so I thought it would be better to go in the technology field in biology. Also, I love to do lab works. I didn't have that much knowledge about other colleges in b.tech in biotechnology.

They'll give you the curriculum activity charts for 1 year ( 2 semesters). They also have their own online site where you can get all details(study material, vacations list, semester dates etc.). The site name is moodled where one can create an account and discuss something with the faculty members.

In my own experience, we as biotech students got a 10days internship in a lab (without paying). Mainly you'll get an internship if you get a job. The company will provide you that. Minimum(in company provided internships)-16k.

Placement and job opportunities are there but only for IT, ECE department. We had 2 or 3 companies for biotechnology but mostly in sales. But most of the companies are taking students in sales and marketing. Big companies like TCS, INFOSYS, COGNIZANT takes students in off campusing.

We have 1 cultural event, a technology event, a freshers event and we also celebrate a sports event. We also have a semester view ESD that is entrepreneurship skill development program you have to do an own stream related project and present it on a particular date all day in your college (like an exhibition). We also have a department event named aloha.

Fees are very high. In my first year, there is lots of argument with the fees structure. Generally, they take 79000 per semester for b.tech students. And 2000 registration fees for exams every semester. There is no consideration for any rank holders also.

No there is no scholarship or loan facility they give. But, if you apply for any loan in any bank, a college will provide you needed documents.

Campus life is good for me. They are no ragging in campus zone. Seniors and teachers are very helpful. They did extracurricular activities. Labs are good. Not so fascinating (biotechnology lab). There is sport's events, technology event. Quotes events, robotic events and also fun events in tech event.

They don't have their own hostel to stay. You have to book a mess or a flat to stay. All though they have some tie-ups with some messes. Mess rates defer and the food quality also not so good. There is also flat you can take at your own risk. Cafeteria food is costly but delicious.

Senior students are helpful. I am a student of the second engineering batch of this university. No alumni happened yet.

There are 2 semesters in 1 year. In every semester 1 MTA (mid-term assessment) online based and 1 written semester and also practical exams. We also have ESD (entrepreneurship skill development) per semester where you have to do an own stream related project and present it on a particular date all day (like an exhibition).

I gave the WEST BENAGL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAM. But i didn't register my name for the counselling option. So I did a admission test in their college. Besically they took a 30 marks online time based test for the selection which is very easy. General questions are asked.

They have their own department room. They are also available on social networking sites and also you can mail or call them if you have any doubt. Also, they are available in their own desks or in the lab room. My department teachers were helpful. We had a student coordinate also.
