The students are well disciplined and behave maturely
Anti ragging campus. No bullying or teasing one another is being seen

Head of the department is not very compatible

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is also quite effective. But some more skiill based subjects like AI, should be included. Virtual classes should also be provided. The exam methods are quite effective. And it brings out the true potential of students.

Class Size: 42Course Fees: INR 12000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is acceptable. But unlike private college, govt colleges provide less scolarship opportunity. More scope to internship is needed. Proper skills should be teached like communication, sales, marketing.

Campus Life

The technical field is quite impressive. Virtual rooms are quite good. Club activities happen almost regularly. Social life becomes good there. Sports like cricket, football, kabaddi, etc. The campus life is around good.

Admission

Eligibility of my course is 10+2 in commerce field. No reservation benefits for general are none. The exam occurs in every 3 months. Along with semester exams in 6 months. The exam difficulties are moderate

The faculty members are cooperative and caring. The learning factors are quite impressive. The mentors are quite good. The ratio of students is not bad. It's around the corner off. The teaching methods are good

Gauhati University: A Students perspective.

Likes

The networking and the contacts that GU provides.
Exposure to various aspects. Chance of self discovery
Great environment. Loved the campus. A great place to study also the Library and canteens. Connectivity

Dislikes

Too much pressure on students in certain cases.
Very slow processing of documents by the authorities
Very delayed results of all the semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is an integrated course where i will be getting a masters degree after completing 5 years. Only tezpur university provides this course other than GU. The curriculum prepares students mainly to pursue careers in academic fields and research fields. More practical aspects can be added to provide a holistic knowledge to the students. The exams are very well planed.

The environment is good peace' and calm .
The campus is good clean and good faculties
Reputed name , the courses are good overall feels good to be a part of this college

Dislikes

People's are arogants, egoistic , do nepotism.
Attendance matters then knowledge, if a student have less attendance in one subject also they don't provide them to give exam.
Lengthy course and less classes the professor completed the syllabus in just 2 months, they say the semester have 6 months but we are giving the finals in 3rd month!

I will rate it 7 cause lengthy course less classes, Exam timing are vast others colleges held there exam on the last month of the year but our college held there exam on the 3rd month of the semester overall not good

Admission:

Present the documents along with photocopies after scoring the qualifying marks and post that the college authorities will give you an acknowledgment slip which confirms your admission in the college and can also be used as the College ID until you receive the actual college ID.

My academic experience at University Law College, Gauhati University

Before enrolling myself in ULC, GU it tried to get in to Facuty of Law, Delhi University but because of lack of preparation time as I decided to get myself into studying law very late, I could't clear that particular exam and then to seek for other options I found ULC which has a very rich history of a great alumni base including esteemed Jurists and Lawyers around the country. The admission process includes an examination of 100 marks coducted by Gauhati University which tests students knowledge in various aspects including General Knowlege, English, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning. The cut off for general category students ranges from around 20 to 30 based on the result of other students. I got through this exam scoring 56 with a rank of 5.
