What Students Say

Likes

College Festival is a good thing. But, it's is decided by the Administration.
Some faculties know how to teach. Faculties are PhD holder from iits or top colleges.

Dislikes

Infrastructure was underdeveloped at our time.
Classroom doesn't have air conditioner. Also few of them don't even have fans and bulbs.
Namely, It's a student driven campus but most of the activities are decided by the Administration.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is divided into 8 terms. Each term consists of 8 to 10 subjects. In last few terms you have the internship after that you have to submit it and give a presentation in front of the faculties. 7th & 8th term are based on individual preference or electives.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 550000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure vary from year to year. Our time it was around 550000 including all the hostel fee, mess fees or other miscellaneous fees. There are two types of seats available one is cost sharing and another is free seats. I got cost sharing so I had to pay 220000 extra which is 55000 per year. You will have all kinds of scholarship if you belong to any category or a girl or your family income is lower than a certain benchmark amount. It's a government college so that you will have the internship opportunity also.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is good though it's not great because it doesn't have a full campus like other college. Hostel is 1km away from the college. There are many festivals going on this campus. Biswakarma Puja is a famous one in this college. Many festivals like dance, songs, and drama etc are going on yearly basis. It's fun to part of any committees or clubs so that you will learn leadership skills.

Admission

First you have to appear for either ouat exam or icar entrance exam. Then they will count your 10th percentage, 12th percentage and entrance scorecard after calculating the weightage average they will give you shortlist. If you are lucky you will get through it.

Faculty

3.5

Faculties are PhD holder and over qualified. I remember one faculty got air 1 in gate exam (civil engineering), still he is decided to teach in our university. Expect few others have their phD degree.

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

DRIEMS UNIVERSITY review after 5 year of frustrating experience legacy will be continued ????....

Likes

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Not that good but ok

Our college is OUAT regulated and every year it holds an entrance examination for all the colleges under its regulation. Up to rank 1500 considered as good, in which there is high chance to get admission into in at least one among the good colleges. Our college has cost sharing and general seats, in cost sharing seats college fee is more and an average 115525 per year will be the annual fee where as for general it is 60000 approximately. For the enrollment in the entrance, students can apply in the ouat official website ouat.nic.in . Besides the above two seats, NRI seats are also there which will cost around 5LPA. There is the reservation for PWD, SC, St, for Western Odisha students, green card. The admission process is offline generally. The dates and payment details will be instructed on the website of OUAT. The selection process is very opaque as the college gives preference on the cost sharing seats, and if you locked your seat you will not take part in further selection process even if with a good rank....Read More
