College Learning and Experience at Vishwakarma

All in all the Vishwakarma University brand is very good in the market of education. College is very tiring at times during events and also the trimester pattern being conducted on us was a little burden with the extracurricular activities to be managed. Other than that it is good to be a part of Vishwakarma.

Vishwakarma University being closeby and the faculty also being supportive, the canteen facilities are hygienic and quality controlled so it was the best option compared by MIT and Sinhagad Colleges. Other than that the academics and placements are great.

The course curriculum is actually unique as it consists of Trimester pattern which is only for my batch of 2017-2019, as it is industry oriented and very practical in nature. The pattern will be changed again for the new batches as the University board has ordered to keep the semester pattern.

Internships are provided according to the specialization in the second year and it depends on the students to choose their company and department to get trained in. I personally got trained in TechMahindra. The internship opportunities provided by the college are good and varies stipend from 5000-7000. Company rules play an effective role for the same.

The placement cell is very active and provides all opportunities to the students to get their choice companies. The placement cell is very proactive in training the students as per the industry standard so that the student has no problems during the interview.

The events in college are Aarambh and Vishwayaan and there are also sports completion conducted. The Aarambh is the cultural event of the college where dances and other cultural activities are performed. The Vishwayaan is the combination of cultural and social activities where there are completions with other colleges and the winners are awarded.

The fees structure is 2.5 lacs per year .5lacs for the entire course. There are a loan and other details available for students who are on scholarship are also encouraged by the college. The fees are not that expensive compared to the other colleges in Pune, as the fees of competitive college are 10 - 15 lacs too which are expensive.

There are scholarship and loan facilities available for enthusiastic students. I have not taken any loan as such for myself. But my friends from outside Pune had taken a student loan from bank of India.

Campus life is very energetic and enthusiastic. There is always some other event/ competition/ fairs happening in the campus, so it is always lit and happening. The students enjoy roaming around in the campus or also in the library after the college hours.

The hostel and mess faculties are very good and quality controlled. The students have proper hygienic stay with healthy food facility in the mess. Where the students get proper rest and relaxation for the studies of the entire day. There is separate hostel facility for girls and boys and the timing are strictly followed.

The alumni students are very helpful and supportive whenever the younger batch approaches for any type of query or assistance. They provide in detail help and knowledge. The connecting of the alumni students is good and many are at good posts in reputed companies.

The exam is conducted every 4 months. There is internal 50 marks and external end trimester 50 marks written exam. The exams are conducted in the college itself and the exam cell conducts the paper checking and invigilation. The results are declared in 1-2 weeks after the exam.

I got admission by giving CAT, CET, and also they have their own Entrance Exams, where psychometric and other tests are done. Firstly I gave CET and after the results, I approached the college office and did the research of the admission. Since I scored well I got the opportunity to take admission directly.

The faculty of the college is very qualified and supportive at all times. They are Ph.D. holders and have varied experiences in the industry and their connection is also at a high level where the students can take all benefits to have experience in the industry via the faculty medium.
