Remarks

Positives: The management has a motive to build students in an excellent way to meet the world class problems. They have started an entrepreneurship cell called IGNITE. It allows the students to start their own company after getting approval from the Dean Research of the college. The students also get funded for the best projects to proceed further with the project. They also help in applying for patents. Negatives: As all the department have a minor negative like ignorance, negligence in their work. Also, the college is 5km away from the main road which void of public transport facility. The facilities are not so experienced to teach or train students.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

As it is affiliated to Anna University, the course curriculum is suggested by the University. The regulation gets changed at least once for 4years. Thought the syllabus match to IIT and NIT, the practical classes allotted were not sufficient. While speaking about exam structure, Bachelor of Engineering degree has 8semester's as we all know. Each semester has 6exams and 2 or 3practical exams. Each semester has the 3internal examination. The exam date will be fixed by the Anna University and the college will be arranging for conducting exams as scheduled by the University.

Placement Experience

3.5

Yes for the Circuit branches they provide internship after an interview process by the company. The stipend amount depends on the company they are getting recruited. For non-circuit branches, the internship is provided by the college or department after a negotiation with the company. For the Circuit branches, the placement is good so far. The college receives almost good companies with a minimum package of 2.4lakh per annum. For a non-circuit branch, we receive one or two core companies.

College Events

3.5

We will be celebrating College Annual day, Talents day, symposium. Speaking about the annual day, the prize distribution for various competitions that have been conducted before the event will take place, semester examination rank holders, sports events. Talents day will be conducted every year to showcase the talents of the students. That is the dance events, singing will take place. Also, an orchestra will happen by the professionals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure. is very much similar to other colleges. The fees will be double the times of fees mentioned by University since it includes bus fees, lab uniform, blazer, and value added courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

This is a very much relevant question for me to answer. As I have a good cut off I got a 100% fee scholarship. They have a scholarship structure. That is 190 & Above- 100% All Fees Free 188-189.75 - 75% Tuition Fee free 180-187.75 - 50% Tuition Fee free 170-180 (MBC)-50% Tuition Fee free > 150 (SC/ST)- 100% college fees free

Campus Life

3.5

The lab facilities are equipped with machines and equipment that are needed for the experiments to be carried out as mentioned in syllabus. They are serviced every year and maintained in good condition. But the bad part is the machines, equipment and tools are not sufficient for all the students. If the machines are repair in the midway in the year they have to wait till the servicing date as already scheduled.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel infrastructure is good and not too bad. It. is good when compared to other colleges and poorly maintained government colleges. The food provided by them is the best I have experienced. It is very much easier access to college and they have the security facilities all day. Girls hostel is very much better when compared to boys hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

They have the alumni group connected. They conduct a special program with the alumni's every year. The students have easy access and friendly relationship with the alumni and seniors. The juniors will be organizing the program for the alumni's which helps to build a good relationship with them

Admission

Through the education fair, I came to know about the college. Then I visited the college with parents. After the announcement of +2 results, I went for the counseling process in Chennai Anna University as it is affiliated to Anna University. I chose the college Sri Eshwar College of Engineering after the seats in government college got over. Then with the admission letter from Anna University, visited Sri Eshwar Engineering college to join for a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

Faculty

3.5

All the facilities of the college are almost budding assistant professors with very few Ph.D.s and experience. They are not well experienced in the field nor in teaching. They are ME's with little pursuing Ph.D.'s. Though they help the students in all the way possible. They try to bring out the best in teaching students.
