Remarks

The college is very under-developed. There is no good infrastructure. Some capital can be spent on developing the college. Students should be given some basic knowledge about the real world barriers. The quality of the hostel and hostel food should also be improved.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is similar to most of the other engineering colleges in Tamilnadu even though it is an autonomous institution. The syllabus is pretty basic and it is outdated in my opinion. It has the same old topics discussed before 10years. So it should contain some new topics Exam Structure is also very old-school and vintage. It is the same Exam structure that is followed in most of the schools and colleges. we have two Mid-semester exams and an intermediate exam which is followed by the end semester exam. The Mid-semester and the intermediate exams are evaluated for the internal marks.

Placement Experience

2.5

Our College provides Internship but the Internship is only for the final year students. They arrange Internships with companies like TCS. For the other year students, our college management encourages students to participate in Internships and In-plant training. But there is no salary provided for the internships"The placements and job opportunities were very good some years back in our college. This was also one of the main reasons I opted for the college as mentioned earlier. But Year-by-Year the placements and the job opportunities are drastically going down and currently,y only a part of the students are placed in the companies. Regarding the company,s the quality of the companies are somewhat good."

College Events

1.5

Considering the events celebrated in the college, there is a very little to no events that are celebrated in the college. Our college doesn't have any cultural or any events of those typical for the students. There is also no freshers party. the only satisfaction is that we have a valediction function. We have a technical symposium for each department.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very less when compared to most other colleges. It is about 15000+/year for aided students but it is 50000/year for the self-supporting students. But the facilities are not so good for the self-supporting students. The facilities are very basic.

Fees and Financial Aid

The College provides good scholarship facilities to the student but to the best of my knowledge, there is no loan facility provided by the college. The First graduate scholarship is provided by the college. Also, they provide Scholarship for the students whose families have an annual income less than about 2 lakhs

Campus Life

2.5

The extracurricular activities are present in the college but the college management doesn't encourage the students to participate in any of the extracurricular activities. They promote co-curricular activities but they don't promote any sports. The students should perform the extracurricular activities only on their personal interest.

Hostel Facilities

1

The hostel is undoubtedly the worst part of the college. the quality of the hostel is too worse. Food especially is worst. Its quality is not good for the money which is paid for the food. The taste is also very bad. There is no difference in the menu provided to the students.

Alumni/Alumna

The Senior students may have some connection with the students but this is not promoted by the college. The alumni network has only a little connection with the students. There is no form of connection between the students. This may affect the students in some way

Admission

I was called for the Engineering counseling that was held at Anna University in Chennai. There we were split into groups based on our cut-off. We selected the colleges that were available for our marks. We were given an admission form which was provided at the college during the admission.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty in my college are well experienced and they also have a very good knowledge about the subject or the topic which they teach. The cons of the faculties are that they are not updated to the latest technologies and the current day happenings.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
