Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My course or curriculum is made and revised by TCS because my branch was introduced by TCS. My college is tied up with TCS and our whole syllabus is designed by TCS according to need of the industry. It will keep on changing accordingly in the future. As for the curriculum itself, it is good but not the best one to prepare you for the real world because there is no curriculum which prepares you for real world they all are the same. As for improvements, I find that being a business student I would like more business subjects to involved and preached in my curriculum. Exams are held after every 1 month, suppose you 3nrolled in August so your internals will held in September then after 1 month from internals 1 will be held internal 2 and so on. As for the frequency, internals are held thrice every semester and externals are held once a semester and the difficulty level of the internals is medium and the externals is hard.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Currently, I haven't recieved any internships neither have I tried on my own to recieve interships. The college informs us about various interships held by the government companies, private companies or the students can enroll in interships on their own by approaching companies. One of my senior have done internships in Amazon. He was telling me about his experience. Mostly It's students who approach companies for internship, so I don't know much about it.

Placement Experience

3.5

This college surely offers campus placement for both the genders. There are many offers and campaigns run by the companies for womens so there placement is also good. The average placement this year was around 5-6 lpa and the highest was 44 lpa, that of a female and in male the highest was around 36 lpa. So it is upto your hardwork, the more hardwork you put it the better campus placement you can get. The students get eligible for campus placements from their 7th semester and companies also start coming from 7th semester. Some of the companies which came to my college for offering jobs were Accenture, TCS, Amazon, 1Stop ai, etc. As for the no of offers made, I am not sure but it is more than 700. As for the percentage or cgpa, students who got more 7.5 cgpa are placed in good companies with good packages and below it were mass recruited by companies giving 4.5 lpa package.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is divided on the basis of the branch you opt for in my college. It is 3,10,000 for Computer Science and For AIML and the rest branches have 2,10,000 fees. As for the increase policy, I am not much aware about it but our college fees got a hike when our batch enrolled so I guess it not see a hike for 3-4 upcoming years. It's a guess that's all. As for the complete cost for my education, the tution fee would cost around 8,50,000 and the living cost depends upon person to person but overall I would say the total cost will emerge out to be 13-14 lakhs for my branch and 17-18 lakhs for CSE AND AIML. As far as I know there is no scholarship given in my college, but the main branch KTR Campus offers scholarship based on SRMJEEE ranks. Currently I am a fist year so I haven't enrolled in jobs or interns but I have taken part in several events held by college and they all were good. Overall I would say the fees is on the higher side.

Campus Life

3

Talking about campus life, it is decent like we get to play sports, there are clubs and students are busy in it. Some students are preparing themselves in their leisure time for their placements and industry demands. The college helds multiple events throughout the year from which our tech fest named "INNOVATE 24" held in april and College fest named "RUBAROO" the cultural fest is very famous. Students from other colleges visit our college in these events. Our college also organises college as well as national level hackathons and other technical events. Our Library is filled with journals and e books and you can easily access them from anywhere from their website. The classes are equiped with smart boards, internet facilities so teaching is enhaced but also some of the classes have still not recieved the internet facility. Sports if not that good here, only few sports such as cricket, chess, volleyball, basketball, football are supported more. My college does has a badminton court.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel rooms are good but they are not of equal size. Some are big and some are small for the same no of student accomodation. I live in hostel two seater room, meaning that my room has accomodation for two students. The rooms have attached bathroom and washroom which is a plus point. We get two bed, two almirah, two table, two chair, four electrical sockets, and two fans for non ac room for two seater. The rooms are good. As for food, the hostel has an attached mess and the mess menu has a great variety but when it comes to taste it is average, sometimes good otherwise mostly it is average. The quality is okayish and the hygiene is compromised at some places but overall it's average. As for registration, you can visit the college or you can book it even online. This is also a plus point so you do not need to come to college for booking. But if want you can live in PG's, there are many pg near the college that is within 100 metres so you don't have to struggle for living.

Admission

FIRST, of all I gave an exam named SRMJEEE which is SRM's own exam and it held every year twice. The student get's two chance per year to qualify the exam. It is held in the month of April and June. The exam difficulty was on the harder side but compared to JEE it was easier from it. You can find the application or fill the application directly from SRM's website as they offer online process for application filling and their exam is also held on online basis. The application fee costs ?1200 each time you fill it. There are no reservation benefits as far as I know Or that I haven't availed any so I don't know. As for improvements in the admission process, they can surely reduce the number of applicants intake, or else this college won't become as esteemed as they want to be.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is good like each class has two mentors so even if one is absent you can ask help from other mentor. The subject faculty is good in number like each subject consists of atleast 10 teachers. The faculties mostly are Phd or masters and some of the teachers are very good in teaching while aome are average but they all try to prepare themselves well for the class so thats a good thing. As for approachability, you can approach your faculty anytime within college hours and they will help you.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation
