Likes

Surrounding- kiit provide a very student friendly campus where all things are readily available in nearby and mainly the campus is ragging free
Examination methodology - All examination , practical exam and other stuffs are given by the before starting of the semester which helps the student to plan accordingly
The campus is totally ragging free and these makes the college more student friendly

Dislikes

Some Teachers are very cooperative but some Teachers act like typically government teachers and have very arrogant and rude behaviour
Hostel food is just like hell it sucks!!
Hostel staff are slightly strict in first year and behave as if like they are the owners of the college

Course Curriculum Overview

I had predominantly had a mindset to opt for engineering. And the CSE branch in engineering is one of the most demandable branch in recent times. Kiit CSE degree is highly valuable but one fact is to be noted that if you are opting for cse then you should have some basic knowledge about coding otherwise it will be a bit difficult for students

Internships Opportunities

Offline Internship are offered in the third year towards the 6th semester. You can do Internship anywhere with the approval of dean of the respective branches. However internship is compulsory in third year s.

Placement Experience

The average package of the cse branch is 800000 and the highest package of the year was 75lakhs. Training and placement cell guides you throughout the year for better placement. Special classes are conducted online for English , data structure and aptitude

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees of btech computer science id ls 1,75,000 per semester. If you take hostel then it has variety of room ranging from 30000 to 70000 for per semester And 22500 mess fees for per semester. Other charges include semester registration fees of 1000 rupees for per semester and exam booking fees of 1000 per semester

Campus Life

Campus life is excellent in kiit as the campus is totally ragging free. Secondly the college is also located in the centre of the town where you can avail everything very easily. Varieties of food are available near the campus. Also for any emergency case kiims is located just beside the college.

Hostel Facilities

There are many types of hostel available in kiit. 3bed , 2bed both are available in AC and NON -AC . Extra 10000 is charged for attached bathroom which is regarded as premium hostels. For mess fees you have to pay 22500 which is for per semester and it includes breakfast lunch , dinner and snacks. The fees is same for both veg and non veg meals

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Admission

Admission process is very simple and clear First' you have to pay 75000 to book your branch that will be mailed to you by the college. Then if you opt hostel then you will have to pay 10000 as booking fees ones then the fees of the hostel you will opt for. Ones the college calls you for induction there you will have to submit the desired document asked by the college. Then you will be given your laptop , id card and other details

All the proffesors and asst are highly qualified with there M tech from reputed IITs. Majorly all teachers are student friendly but some teachers have extreme arrogant behaviour and give very poor internal mark

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

From sixth semester you are eligible for campus placement. Companies visited are Tata power, Adani, OPTCL and others.The highest package for electrical engineering is 10 lacs. 60percent marks is required for getting placement.

My college is best

Likes

Things I like is to good faculty, garden.
VSSUT provides the best amenities and bathrooms.
Excluding hostel & other facilities are like good.

Dislikes

The water quality is not good at all from mess side.
The drainage system is not maintained well.
The surroundings are not clean and the guarda are strict.

Placement Experience:

Some say that the celllege has better placements, but that the salary is not very lucrative. Infosys, Tata Steel, IBM, Wipro, Cisco Systems, Larsen and Cognizant, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Group. My plans are to go to better iim for mba

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

1.Like i did not apply so many colleges but i got selected in my state government college in it branch but i did not go there becuase there not so many companies comes for placement and internship and there not a much opportunity 2. REVIEW OF KIIT FROM A SECOND YEAR STUDENT

Apart from KIIT I also applied for PES university, VIT. I got confirmed admission in CSE branch of these colleges but these colleges are far away from my home. So distance is one of the main factors for not choosing other colleges instead of KIIT. For taking admission in KIIT one has to appear in the KIITEE examination which is conducted in CBT mode. After the exam result will be declared within a month. Then one has to sit for counselling for choosing the branch of their choice. The cutoff score is different for all the three phases. For example in 2023, a student securing 15 percentile in KIITEE got CSE core branch but in the second phase the cutoff for CSE core raised to 75 percentile....Read More
