- Infrastructure of here is very good, hostels are well equiped with daily cleaning facilities of hostel washrooms and co-oridors.
- Well maintained acedamic building with loads of garderns having pleasent enviornment, one can survive here easily.
Dislikes
- Some teachers of our department don't teach like much, they left on students to explore the things by thier own
- there is no such exposure , like internships and all in our department. whatever you can do , you have to do it by your own contacts and all. ,
Course Curriculum Overview
the course is constructed very nice way like every semester is well suited according to the industrial requirement of our domain , bioinformatics , as we have ngs , python , machine learning , sql ,r , data analysis, all the required field of our interest. but the teacher's let us explore our way ot our course, that's good though but sometimes this become hectic when you think about your future like you are not doing anything, futhermore there is a ample amount of time you'll get so you can do and improve your skills as per your interest. improvements can be done like if all teachers teach us from very basics and some use to do, as we all are from differnt- different background.
Fees and Financial Aid
fee of here is very minimal, middle class family can afford this like it's around 15k semester fee for our course, hostel fee is also very minimal like 8k per semester. also they provide scolarship or quota for sc/st they have to pay even more less fee like 1800 fee for hostel for 1 semester. also they provide another scolarship for obc/ews people for those who are financially unstable. moreover we can also apply for NSP/inspire as per our scores, we'll get scolarships.
Campus Life
expierence is okay-okay, like not much social life, peaceful enviornment is there, and if you are focusing on other govt exams or csir and all ,then this is very good for you as yuo'll have a lot of spare time here, also library is open till2.00 a.m. at night. so one can go there.
Hostel Facilities
hostel is just 10 min of walking distance from the acedemics and its good , there is a 4 individula per room accomodation, having a large balcony in each room , indoor games facilities is there, basketball court inside girls and boys hostel , overall good enviornment of hostel.
Admission
Admission here done through the score of cuet with the course of lifesciences in the department of computational sciences under the programme bioinformatics, expected cutoff for ist counselling is 180+ and it will go till 3rd counselling and cut off will decrease to 110 or even less according to the availability of seats and according to the quota of reservation.
Faculty
In our department, there is 3-4 teachers who use to teach us our core subjects, Hod ( head of department) is well qualified and he use to teach very well to us. he use to teach from very basics considering nobody knows anything, like that's the best thing he use to do while teaching, furthermore , we have faculty, who had post doc from foriegn, and she is having a lots of expierience from there, and she also always there to help out thier students, also we have phd scolars from seria , he is very nice guy and always there to help out us, whatever it is like form filling, guidence , internships etc.
