Course Curriculum Overview
Machine learning was always a dream and I made sure that it never took the backseat and scored well in all exams to get admissions in one the best engineering colleges in Pune. Course is vast and still the exams are managed in such a way that we just have 45-50 lectures per subject. Hence, faculties sometimes go fast on the syllabus as they also have to finish the course in due time. I wish they added a few more days to every semester so that faculties and students both can take a breather.
Placement Experience
One will be surprised to know that the highest placement from our department was 37 lakhs which happened in 2022. The average too is not bad as 7-8 lakhs package is bare minimum for our branch. Around 60 percent of students every year get placed through campus placements at MIT.
Fees and Financial Aid
Maharashtra government has announced unlimited scholarships and students of backward classes who have 50% reservation have availed such scholarships. 10% scholarships are on merit too as students who com through top ranks in CET gets scholarships and those who does well every year also gets scholarships.
Campus Life
The biggest music fest of MIT-WPU is Aarohan and there are other fests too. The best part of campus life is that along with students from various cultures and states, we have international students too who enroll at MIT every year. Students from Germany, and Afro Asian countries keep the atmosphere moving at the campus and I am glad that I managed to make some friends from those countries.
Admission
12th pass with a minimum of 50% and then the MHCET entrance score. Entrance is a must as MIT is one of the top universities in Maharashtra and therefore one has to score top only then they get admission here. Once entrance results are out, students can apply directly and if they make the cut-off they are admitted.
Faculty
Faculties are qualified enough to mentor us on what our role and responsibilities are as an engineer. Machine learning is one of the toughest thing to learn as it so vast and therefore faculties gives us extra lectures on weekends to make sure we are fully aware with the subject and are prepared not just for programs but solving all the problems that are given to us in projects.
