I liked the way the Delhi University has different types of Society Culture to engage people with different qualities in a activity for them.

Dislikes

I disliked the way the teachers communicate some tes as they don't care about the students

Course Curriculum Overview

The subjects many times are of no use to the students and many times they are not that practically tought to the students as they should be so if the subject involves explanation it should be done with some kind of activity

Placement Experience

I did not liked the placement procedure as the companies which came to my college were not that interested in our students whereas they were aiming to have children from only the north campus which feels biased

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for me was a really money save as I am a PWD category student I had to pay only 70 rupees a year so money wise the college was very affordable but even if you are a gen category person you still pay less than the fee of a private college

Campus Life

I really loved the campus as my college has the biggest campus in all South campus colleges so that was a plus point and me being the Cultural Student Head coordinator of the college was a really good experience

Admission

The admission process was good as I faced no difficulty during applying for the application and the after admission experience the things were sent via email In a very details manner which made everything easy to understand

Faculty

The teachers present in the college are really of high qualifications but a few are not that communicative with the students and if a teacher greets a student in a friendly manner they develop a good bond

Likes

Affordability in terms of fee structure and degree they don't have huge amount of fee for any particular program.
Market value as its the oldest and known college of delhi university and their new buildings makes it value for money college.

Dislikes

college do not have proper hygiene in terms of classroom and campus

its highly reletive as they claim and mention in their course structure. they overall difficulty level the exam level are also moderate and if its about the areas for improvement they should focus key campus and library area its should be accessable to all

supportive and approachable who explains concepts really well, like pallavi mam and shweta mam
good campus life like cafeteria area, library, and classrooms
active campus life with good opportunities to interact with other students

Dislikes

could get a bit crowded when both the shifts have classes

Placement Experience:

the whole reason i chose jims kalkaji is beacuse of placements it is popular for placements it offers multiple placements after your 3rd or 4th year of specializtion different multiple companies come here to pick students.

The faculty members are supportive, knowledeable. Teacher explain concepts clearly and encourage student to participate in discussion
I like friendly and comfortable campus environment. student from different background intreact with each other
The college provides a good acedemics foundation and opptunities for overall development. being Part of delhi university also give student exposure to different events

Dislikes

some classroom and campus facilitues need improvement
placement oppotunites can be improved, esecially for student looking for better corporate exposure.
the evening college schedule can something be inconveibient because many acitvity and oppotunities are generally more accessible during regular college hours

I would rate the course curriculum around 4 out of 5. The curriculum is well structured and covers important subject related to commerce, accounting, finance, economics and business. I chose this course because is provides a strong foundationfor higher studies, competetives exam and careers in the cmmerce field

Life at South Campus

Likes

The crowd at venky is great, diverse crowd.
The campus is well maintained and is one of the bests at DU.
Opportunities provided to students are great

Dislikes

The attendance policy is a little strict for 1st and 2nd year

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.

Shyam Lal College( Morning) Review

Likes

College is improving day by day teaching faculty is also helpful it recently got A++ NAAC credition as well
Overall college is good if you have good peer group.
Near to north campus so doesn't really feel much of headache if you want to visit regularly.

Dislikes

Shadara is not a good place to spend your college life.
Evening college crowd has made the reputation of the college bad.
Near by area is not safe for Girls in late hours.

Placement Experience:

6th sem is the first time college placement are proceeded . Companies are not impressive and mostly are entry level jobs such as cold calling and such which they offer. Highest package was 4 lpa and avg was 2.5 only. Around 60 percent students gets placed.

Likes

The online learning platform is easy ans simple to use students can acces lecture and assigments and study materials anytime
Faculty mambers provide clear guidance through online sessions and study materials they are supportive
They procides recording that was very usefull when we will not attend the live class

Dislikes

Since the classes are in online and also there are some techical issues while taking classes that will interupt classes
placement support is limited in online classes so students need to search for internships and job oppertunities on their own
Its deffecult to connect student coordinators while we wnat exam timetable etc they are too slow

I choose BCOM because the want to take ACCA after BCOM it will helps to improve my career and give a better job and also BCOM is the basices of ACCA like law, financial managment, taxation etc .The curriculam provide strong fountation for students who wamts to pursue higher studies such as M.COM , MBA and professuonal couses. BCOM helps to understanding real world bussiness practices , accounting sytem etc . on;ine study material recordimg leture and assigments also make flexible for students to study their own pace. exams are usually conducted semister wise the difficulty level 0of exam are moderate if students were attend the class regulary and prepare well

i dont like any thing in this college

Likes

there is a green gaurden in my colleges old campus
we have a big ground in our college which i like i can play football there
they make an football ground in old campus which is good

Dislikes

techers are not good in teacing they just want to let it go the classes
my college was too small and the classes are not properly furnished for my class size
there is no place for sit in the shade or to make our mind diverted or have fun and the canteen is worst of old campus

i am from commerce background i want to do eco honers but in 12th i dont have mathematics so i cant then i decideid for b. com honers but i aloted the b.com program which is my 3rd priority umm i leanrd new things in my ncc and with my friends there are very less college activities to i dont know how to make my college life good and make some experiences they can make us travel with them to the real buiseness or any factory or a relay paper work from any company i want to do a camp in jab which is good for my ncc life but it is during my exams thats why i cant did that camp yet

overall the college is very nice be it academic or co curricular front. canteen and cafeteria is very nice but the only thing they need to improve is placement cell.

Shyam Lal College( Morning) Review
