- Library has a very good infrastructure and also Internet facility there is quite good
- Ece department labs are well equipped with equipments and infrastructure and facilities there is quite good.
- Biotech department is quite good with well quipped laboratory.
Dislikes
- Grounds here are small with less sports facilities.
- Sports , gym and extracurricular facilities are very limited.
- Hostel and mess condition is very bad and infrastructure is very old.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is quite relevant. I have a keen interest in robotics which aligned with electronics course , that's why I opted for this course. Most of the curriculum is oriented towards theory aspects but it also prepare us for real world application. More practical based learning can improve the curriculum.Practical based exam frequency should be improved and theory based exam frequency should be reduced.
Internships Opportunities
Internship oppurtinties in this college is very good. Companies such as Texas instrument , Microsoft, PWC , Accenture , wellsfargo, RIL, etc comes for internship. Average stipend for internship is about 40k . If you don't get internship, you can easily get projects under proffesor and there is wide range of projects available .
Placement Experience
Placement in our college is very good as compared to other colleges. From 7th sem , students become eligible for placement. Companies such as Microsoft, samsung, Qualcomm, Texas instrument , etc visited our campus for on campus placement . Hisgest package is about 54 lpa and for ece branch average package is 15 lpa. Percentage of students placed is about 84 percent .
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for the reservation students is very less, but for those of general category, it is quite high. Some additional fees are there in 1st year which gets waived off in subsequent years. For general category, per semester fees from 2nd year is 76k + 19 k mess fees. There are lots of scolorahips available from West Bengal government for ews and category students.
Campus Life
My overall college life is very good. Social life in this college is very good l. There are lots of club in this college and lot of club activities keep on taking place. Aarohan, tech fest and Recstacy, cultural fest are two main fest of the college. The range and accessibility of books and journals in the library is very good. New academic building classroom have very good facilities . Sports facilities is very bad.
Admission
For admission only option is clearing JEE mains with a decent percentile. JEE mains happens twice or four time in a year and the best score is considered. For ece branch and if you are in general category, you rank should be below 15k. Application process for the admission is very simple. Faculty
Ece department faculty is quite good , but in other department some faculty is of orthodox thinking. Faculty to student ratio is 1:10. Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style. If students want they can easily interact with faculties.
