Likes

The field experienced faculty and good staff that is ready to help whenever we seek.
The behaviour of the chairman. They treat the students as their own and helps them all the time.
The inclusive students behaviour. Being a kannada dominating college, they keep outsiders in the decisions and minds most of the time.

Dislikes

The inexperience of faculty in teaching. The faculty consists of good working professionals but lack teaching sense. They think we know it all.

Course Curriculum Overview

The one thing they can do is train the teachers to actually teach from student pov. And use different language mediums for children from our of Karnataka like me. The course teaches us the facts and details and we in professional practice have to apply it in our daily lives.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a student from scholarship I do not pay my fees instead the government does it for me. I think the annual fees for other students is 20000 per annum but for mail it is 40000 something per annum. The architecture and department are completely different from the other departments. The other departments are in the main campus in the middle of the city and architecture and department are on the outwards of the Bangalore city.

Campus Life

This college has the India's largest architecture library in the country. There are many groups in this college like IEEE and NASA working groups. There are many annual fests including coding fests in this college.

Admission

The requirement to join architecture college is giving an exam called NATA and jee barch. Your rank in these exam tell you which college is the best for you and which one you can do well in. You should have a math background in 11 and 12 standard to do this course. The admission is taken care of in the main campus of the college.

Faculty

The faculty is good in number. Satisfies the student teacher ratio. The train you to be working professionals. They put you through difficult projects and hardships to engage your thinking. We can go to teachers whenever we have any doubt or question. And they're always open to help out.

Admission:

The admission procedure is not tedious. After plus 2 and appearing for JEE 2 or NATA exams, candidates have to apply with that scores. After screening they will be called for interview. For validation purposes, all the original certificates will be scrutinized.

Remarks:

This is a very good College in terms of education and co-curricular activities. The events hosted in the College and the workshops are almost always paid for so it is hard if you don't have pocket money with you always.

Remarks:

It is in my hometown. it's nearby to my house. there aren't many architecture colleges in Mysore. so I didn't have many options. this was a reputed college and was from where many architects passed out.

One of the top architecture college in Mysore

Admission:

I applied to the college based on my score in the National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA). I also appeared in the JEE Main paper 2. However, the NATA score been good then JEE Main paper 2 so I said for the NATA counselling. I was allotted a seat in the institute in spot counselling. After the grant of the admission I was called to the campus to complete the procedural formalities for admission. I opted for the institute because it is one of the top institute for architecture studies in Mysore.

Remarks:

If a student is serious about joining Architecture and studying this course this is a good college to join as the lab library and other facilities that are provided are up to the marks . This environment that is there is quite helpful.

Remarks:

The Architectural education scene is still a work in progress, and the quality changes dramatically in a short period of time and hence the relevancy of my remarks here are questionable., Management has changed recently, the University of Mysore has taken over, and it brings bigger resources, better integration with other university facilities and it's government-like administration with it's pros and cons. It would be wise to personally visit the facilty.

I got admission in university of visvesvaraya college of engineering bangalore through K-CET in 1st round. I gave 1st Preparence to this college because it is one of the oldest engineering college in karnataka . The only way to enter our college is through cet or jee. There is no management quota or influence which is works. For joining mechanical engineering 3ag cutoff was 40k. And scst was 76k at my time of admission...Read More
