Likes

Course curriculum availability and subjects. The BSC gaming course was a unique and new course that opened me up to many possibilities
Crowd, events, activities on campus. People of my age group with similar interests, likes and dislikes
Locality, campus and quality of life. The student life of a Jain University student was quite exciting.

Dislikes

Irregular classes. Classes schedule were varying heavily with no proper fixed timings and periods until the 5th semester
Inconsistent teaching faculty. The university did not pay the teachers properly often causing them to leave, and this disrupting the classes and learning.
Expensive. While the tuition fees was comparatively affordable, the university demanded a fee for everything on between such as exam fees, hall ticket fees, fees to view results, change marksheet inaccuracies, etc.

The course was highly relevant to the current industry scenario. We were taught all the necessary and relevant tools and methodologies to carry out tasks and processes. All the latest and highly desirable skills were taught

Jain University has a list of major companies that visit for campus placements, however, there were barely any companies that hired for our course. Most of the companies that recruited from our batch were looking for employees outside our domain and not in our field of interest.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were barely any fee hikes and it remained more or less constant throughout and was valued at 1.1 L per year. There were however, lots of hidden fees and charges. We had to pay for everything such as examination fees, hall ticket fees, results fees and so on. These ranged from 3000-9000

Campus Life

There are a lot of extra curricular activities, clubs and sports in Jain University. Although I was not a big part of any of them, I did have my fair share of activities. I took part in the Khelo India University Games as head of content team. I was also in the Gaming and IT team of the Samashti student council.

Admission

The admission process was straightforward. I applied through the official portal and submitted my details. The concerned authority got in contact with me. There wasn't a complex or long process. They scheduled an interview, and after clearing it, I was granted admission.

Faculty

There was sufficient faculty of all students for the course. They were qualified and had ample knowledge and certification regarding the course. They were quite interactive and cleared all doubts and went out of their way to make sure we understood concepts

Life at rv university

Likes

The teachers are really good at teaching over here. They teach you in a really fun way.
We go outside and observe our surroundings. We also do live sketching at malls or maket places.
We have group projects too. And it's really fun because you learn how to work with people

Dislikes

Sometimes the classes are far and we have to walk a lot
We have to pay for our own college trips when we go outside
Attendance is above 80 Percent and even if you are actually sick they don't leave you

Course Curriculum Overview:

We have really packed timings. We also have a lot of chances. Like an exchange program, internships and many chances to act or work in actual projects. I really hope they could teach us animation in the course and it would really help if the clubs are active. For every exam we have to come up with something new totally out of the box. sometimes we also have to work overtime.

Honest one

Likes

Social events.They’ve started doing many social events and it’s entertaining .There are many clubs in the university which has a lot of benefits aswell.
No ragging in the campus.They take strict action against it.
The university is well maintained and has a lush green campus which is refreshing.

Dislikes

Some faculties might not have the knowledge on how to explain it clearly to the students even though they’ve a lot of experience.

Placement Experience:

The fourth year students are eligible for placements.Mostly startup's have been visiting our university rather than the big companies.The highest package so far was 4 lakh .The percentage of students getting placements are 75% . Although they're getting placements it might not exactly be related to the course.It might be some other job aswell.

My college life in a nutshell

Likes

I liked how deeply they dig into each subjects and helped us improve the knowledge
I liked how industry oriented this particular degree was.... through internships and site visits they've helped gain more exposure to the field
I liked how this educational institution improved our creative skills through their well curated curriculum

Dislikes

For someone who's looking for a great college ambience and vibe .. I'll not suggest the college
This college doesn't have a proper seminar hall or auditorium
Some of the professers are not that great at teaching and making us understand the topics

For a person who's creative and like to be in a creative field would be great for joining bsc. Interior designing and decoration in shree devi College of interior designing, Mangalore..as this institution gives you an idea of everything regarding the same field

Likes

Mentors are very supportive u can share everything they will help u with ur studies
Expert lectures are very interesting they teach every small things

Dislikes

Placements are not that good so better search yourself for the placement

Placement Experience:

From 3rd yr they provide internship opportunities 85 % of students are getting placements... many companies visits like Titan and average package would be something 1800000 I m not sure about it... I wanna do a job and then will continue my business which is already running by my mother

Likes

Teaching here is very good and is mostly practical learning which is very helpful and also helps us to learn a lot of skills to solve real life problems and situation
There a lot of events happening in campus every day and makes it a vibrant place to study in
There is a diverse range of courses and opportunities for extracurricular activities

Dislikes

Sometimes the work load gets overwhelming, balancing exams, assignments can be a lot of work
The class run from 8 in the morning till 5 in the evening which is tiring
The management team has to be improved a little bit

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is available and the average package is about 7 lakhs and the highest package is about 30 lakhs. Because the university is new there is only a master's degree batch that has been passed out. There is about 90% placement.

Ab overview of life at NIFT Bangalore

Likes

I really liked the way the course was structered. In the foundation year we had a little bit of everything to vasten our knowledge and skills.
The teachers are approachable and supportive. The interiors of the college provide a really good atmosphere for a design student.

Dislikes

The campus is a little too small. I wish it was a little bigger for us to enjoy a better campus life.
The mess food could definitely be improved. The quality is not up to the par.
Sometimes the classes get very very hectic. We are bombarded with a lot of assignments at the same time hardly giving us the time to focus

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after their graduation project in the 8th semester which is the 4th year. A good number of companies around 8-10 come for the campus placements. The minimum package starts from 6 lakhs and can go up to 20 lakhs per annum. Almost 70% of the students get an on campus placement. Some get an off campus placement as well. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters in my field.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is based at Bangalore university. And under the BSc part. You will learn based on that and the exams conducted by them. The faculty is fine but they keep changing. Some learning is self-learning but helps you find what you are good at.

There is some issue in placement, though we get placement the scope for the future through these placements are not that great. Many students fail to get proper placements. The scope or plan for many students is to try and open a new brand or collaborate with other students to create a new brand.

Remarks:

The college is not as per my expectations. Everything goes on changing every semester. As for now,the principal is very strict, but she has very good knowledge. Like in every college there is partiality in our college too. The theory syllabus is very less,n more practical part.

Admission:

Inquiry to the college admission officer. Download application online or take in hand. Fill in the details and submit the application. Date of entrance exam and Exam center will be allotted and hall tickets will be issued. Shortlisted candidates will be called for face to face interviews with parents along with their portfolios. counseling with the concerned hod or faculty takes place, based on overall marks results will be sent to them to come for proceeding with the admission.

About the college

The minimum mark is to aggregate 60% in sslc and hsc..and the entrance is based on u wish either jee,jet or comedk.
