What Students Say

Likes

The curriculum of Chitkara university is really nice, they teach us about every possible programming language
Chitkara is really safe for students and parents too as outsiders are not allowed at our college
Without gate pass we cannot leave without permission of the parents and they can even see our attendance

Dislikes

No social life, even if they have a event it is either for hostlers or till 5 only so no enjoyment no such events
The food suck you hardly find something to eat

Course Curriculum Overview

i have like 8 subjects in every semester, i have a subject called project based learning that help me make project on real-life problem every semester as a student of CSE-AI i have to study every subject of cse and ai so the circulum is designed for ai students but it is designed for cse as well even if i dont wanna go in ai i can go in software engineering and cyber security etc . if their is some improvements to be made please teach one language for a year nicey so we can learn it more nicely the exams are every other month and their difficulty level is hard only chitkara university dont go easy on their students

i have a fees of 1,25,000 per semester as a CSE-AI student and it was 1,00,000 for CSE students and i dont think their is any scholorship at chitkara university and i just got in 2nd year so honeslty i dont know about employment oppurtunities

Campus Life

their is no campus life their is hardly any even if their is a event it is for hostlers only and library are nice and books are always available their you can even read novels at the library and work at laptops also . we have to bring our own laptops they provied us with plugs and wifi . there is a sportorium for students who are interest in sports . there is a lot of clubs if you wanna join

Admission

Admission was on the bases of 12th result , their is a seperate form for btech admission you just need to fill in your details then they will give you a date for counselling and at that they you can decide your stream their was no exam

Teachers are nice . we have both projectors and blackboard mostly all teachers are phd in chitkara university and student ratio is not a lot if you try to ask them they will answer and if i be honest its like school i hardly understand someting i am on my self study only ya you get nice notes and you know what the subject is, if it matters at the end

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

Life at Panjab University

In our college students need to have 6CGPA to still in campus placements and our college have a Club that overseas all the placement oppertunityies and the placement starts from 7th semester onwards when students starts there seventy semester the company's starts visiting campus for placement and internship opportunity as well

Placement Experience:

Yes,very good college placements are available in our college.Students of 8 semester that is 4th year students are eligible for campus placement Companies such as TCS,wipro,amex,gemini solutions and etc many more companies are there for placement 60-80% students got placed in the companies with an average package of 8 lakhs and with a highest package of 35 lakhs Iam oriented towards govt jobs and in future if I will be interested in coding sector I will do preparation for off campus and specifically for Rubrik

Placement Experience:

Placement do occur in the college. It's average package is around 7.5, lakh. Since I am the first year right now, I don't have data to support the placement record, but some of my seniors of fourth year are getting placed. One of my IT senior got placed for 14 LPA and other other, my Cse senior got placed for around 12 LPA. so opportunities are there for those who want to do something

Placement Experience:

We have avergae package of 12 lpa and 57lpa highest, i am not aware of how mqny placed. As such i have plan to get placed but if things didnt go out as planed then mba or mtech maybe. Our campus just opened recently so there is no much information but our placements are central that means, companies visting mumbai have to visit us too, and u can refer mumbai campus placement for our campus because its counted on central level and not varries campus to campus

Honest insider review - Chitkara University, Punjab

There was no such entrance exam sort of thing. they were just expecting a minimum percentage in the boards examination that too was very low to be honest. i didnt found such difficulty for the admission process as i had scored good marks in the 12th board. The application form was available on the official website of the university. The fees has been increased the last time i toook admission. It took 162,000 for 1 yr of college fees. No reservation benifits were availed by me being a GENERAL. Overall, the admission process was easy i found no diificulty. Although, they can improve the communication hrough the intermediater who accepted my form and took me thorugh the admission process. as it was online, i found some difficulty in communicating with themaslso havinng some misunderstandings with them.....Read More
