Entrance Preview
I heard the college is the top in Karnataka state especially for core branches like CIVIL MECH and ELECTRICAL. The grading system is cool like best of 2 out of 3 tests. taking about placements many companies hire more than 95% of students. And there are special companies which hire especially for low graded students (<65%) which is better move was more now in the state offers such placement.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course basically contains 5 units. And each unit is for 20 marks in the final exam. (20*5=100). knowledge about Practical applications is thought at the end of every unit which is a better way of teaching and easy understanding for the students.
Internships Opportunities
No, the internship is the main credibility for an interviewee so it has to be made from outside so that the interviewer gets impressed if the internship is made from companies directly rather than doing it in the same college which makes no sense.
Placement Experience
placement offers are just magnificent. The record till now in MSRIT IS 50 lpa. Cracked by an IS student. For core, many companies like L&T and Dubai companies offer attractive packages. IT companies get more packages than the core. Since IT is not permanent so going to CORE is way better wat I feel so I chose this course CIVIL.
College Events
There are more than 20 clubs in our college. NSS, KANNADA RAJYOTSAVA, Entrepreneurship development cell(EDC), Finance, D committee for security, inferno Prayag (dance), Quatlas RIT (for glider), BOOING (GLIDERS), DECA for cultural activities, Nature club.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure depends on the type of admission which you go through. 1. Cet ( 52000+building fee= 70000* approx per year ) For sc/st to 10 LPA, there is no fee to be paid. Just building fee 15-20k is to be paid 2.COMEDK (2 lakhs per year+building fee =approx 2.1lakhs) 3.management depends on the time of admission. It ranges from 5-25 lakhs
Fees and Financial Aid
For Sc, there is a scholarship provided by the Karnataka state government. for 2A/2B there is a scholarship provided by Karnataka state government of 20k yearly. ONLY 1 scholarship shud be APPLIED per YEAR
Campus Life
The college is THE BEST for extracurricular activities. RAJYOTSAVA celebration is grand in our entire STATE. Generally, boys are more in number in civil and mech .and in other branches the ratio is 1. Like both are in equal number. all high-quality equipment used in almost all labs from all departments.
Hostel Facilities
Basically, there is a separate hostel for freshers. And for rest, there is the main hostel. For freshers, there is no choice 2 sharing only. For rest, there is a choice of single double and triple sharing.price of single is very high .upto 1lakh per year. were as double and triple sharing is quite cheap. Food is worst at night .only the breakfast and lunch are good. FRESHERS BLOCK IS FULL OF "BED BUGS" better to stay in pg than going to the hostel
Alumni/Alumna
They are always helpful in one or the other way. They give scholarships for backward classes and merit students. they guide their juniors in each and every way.
Exam Structure
Internals consists of 30 marks. There will be 3 tests held out of which the best 2 is evaluated. So there is a chance to miss 1 test if not prepared well. and 20 marks are for assignments and quiz depends on the faculty .some give seminars as an assignment component which is much better to get marks easily. The finals consist of 100 marks. Which will be reduced to 50.
Admission
There are 3 ways to get admission to the college: 1. CET exam 2. COMEDK 3.MANAGEMENT I got admitted through CET exam which had MCQ test of physics chemistry and mathematics of 60 marks each. I got 93 out of 180 and my rank was 13456. Since am SC(scheduled caste) the cut of was till 22000. for GM it is maxed 6000-7000. For Comedk the ranking is 2000. Management depends on time. It may start from 7-17 lakhs for CIVIL DEPT. for IT branches it exceeds 20 lakhs.
Faculty
The faculties in our college are highly qualified and most of them are graduated from NITs. They are very kind and correction is very lenient comparable to other colleges. They encourage the students to such extent that very rare students get backlogs in their particular subjects. they provide their personal number if we want to contact at any time for any doubts to get clarified.
