Course Curriculum Overview

4

In first year all branches students learn the same curriculum. From second year onwards everyone is taught branch specific topics. Curriculum is updated but it's not up to the mark. Exams here are very easy there are 3 in semester exams out of which best 2 are considered, then there is end semester exam at the end of each semester.

Internships Opportunities

2

We were provided only with a social internship after the end of first year. In social internship we worked with NGOs like junoon foundation, Agastya foundation, etc to educate young kids. No technical internship provided.

Placement Experience

3.5

Training and placement cell offers regular session from the Beginning of third year itself to boost employability. Some good companies do come on campus to pick students. Second year onwards some students are given internships by department to familiarise students with industry standards.

Fees and Financial Aid

General fees are 164000 per annum. OBC fees are 95000 per annum. Fees increase every year. EBC, SC,ST also get fee concession. For students that don't fit this category also get alumni fundraiser. Hostel charges range from 8000-10000 per month for boys and 10000-12000 per month for girls.

Campus Life

4.5

Sojourn is the cultural festival for SE, TE BE students, Fiesta for FE students. Tspark is sports event. Hackanova is 36 hour long hackathon. Zephyr is technical fest. ISTE, CSI, ACM, IEEE, etc all branch specific clubs exist. Social bodies like green club, Rotaract club, NSS exist.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facility for girls is at Thakur Aspire Hostel. They charge 10000 per month and 25000 deposit. Cleaning services are provided daily. Common Washing machines and dryers are present to use anytime on demand. Common refrigerator and microwave is also provided. In furniture there is bed with under storage and side drawers, cupboard, study table with notice board, laptop drawer and book storage above and chair. Mess service is not included. It's quite costly.

Admission

Admission process was smooth and through CAP rounds of CETCELL. I had scored 91.3 percentile in MHTCET-2023. I got IT department under HINDI MINORITY quota. All the fees has to be paid in one go, in online mode. Cash not accepted.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty members are decently educated and have good qualifications. Most of them are masters degree holders. 6-7 faculty members teach us per semester. Most of the teachers are friendly and approachable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
