What Students Say

Likes

I like the fee structure fees is very low in every aspect
I like the hostel because it provides all the necessaries
I like the environment of my college ..there is no unnecessary poltics

Dislikes

I don't like the quality of food in hostel
I don't like the exam schedule.it goes very long

Course Curriculum Overview

My course includes political science and philosophy and Ancient Indian history culture and archaeology I was very interested in studying all these subjects so I chose that as a combination. philosophy is very important to express our thoughts in a good way. It gives the space to think in new ways. political science is important to understand the laws of revolution and the current situation of our country's politics..we can improve the faculty of ancient India history culture and archaeology because we didn't explore any place related to ancient history..exam process is time taking it to take too much time. However, exam patterns are very simple and Exams are very simple.

Class Size: 3Course Fees: INR 1630 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of the college is very simple we live in the hostel so it is very low..my semester fee is 1631, but if someone has a practical subject like geography he has to pay 100 rs extra...my hostel fee is 2875 per semester and it includes all the charges of wifi and water and electricity. The scholarship varies. Uttar Pradesh students can avail of the scholarship of Uttar Pradesh it is around 5500..and students of other students can avail of national scholarship.

Campus Life

There are various types of festivals in the university. However, they are organized occasionally .tarz e sukhan is a very important function here. The fresher party is also organized per year. The library of Bhu is the biggest library in India, It has every type of book. The classrooms have whiteboards. There are around 40 to 50 classrooms in the art faculty. There is also a lecture theatre. In which digital board provided .there is lots of opportunities in sports and music and .. students can participate from the University and can go to the national level. There is a very social group for music, sport, and for other things.

Hostel Facilities

Room is decent. It have a fan .to single bed two table and chair..one room available for two person it includes free wifi and electricity..and water .. however food quality is not good it's expenditure is separate from the hostel the mess is separate from hostel it take 50 rs per diet . excluding breakfast... hostel allotment is based on the CUET score card top 120 studen get the hostel..it is very affordable it take only 2875 as fee

Hostel Fee: INR 2875 per year

Admission

The eligibility of the course is very simple if anyone has completed their 12 class, they can apply for the CUET exam after the exam the cut-off of various courses varies..the application form is available online. The application fee is 600... reservation is 27 percent for OBC 15 percent for sc st category and 10 percent for EWS. The time for the exam was enough and the exam paper was moderate. The admission process takes time. Around 6 months they can reduce it

Faculty

All the faculty members are well qualified they.. are all PHD holders so it is obvious that they have enough qualifications to teach us the ratio is around 50:1 there are four sections. They teach us on the white board and also on the digital board if needed. They teach in simple language so that we can understand.. often we interact with teachers in the classroom and also ask questions on social media platforms if needed

Perspective as a VCW student

Likes

Facility and infrastructure is really good . In facility we get good internet connection e.g , talking about labs too , we get well equipped class and materials needed for the test , sometimes it may be bit defective aur old.
Teachers are the best things about this college. Course curriculum are designed in the way that you cover everything about the topic infact , sec , aec courses are also designed in students favour only .
The campus area and environment is good too , you may find the campus area small but it's really beautiful and peaceful , there is gym , canteen , ground with basketball and badminton court . You may not get the top notch facility but its not worse.

Dislikes

The first thing could be interior and mangement of washrooms. Canteen could be more better and provide more options . In summer , other than library we get no other sitting area , except the open classroom which are in tolerable in heat.
The bus management is worse too, I left the bus service because of their management.
The fests are not worse but could be organized in more better way .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I personally find the curriculum to be well made and in favour wit the students. In teaching methods , the subjects that demand practical exposure should be given tasks to be conducted on the real life situation, like the opportunity we get during internship . They should provide task like that .

Great learning environment, experienced faculty, and value for money education.

Likes

The faculty members are very supportive, highly experienced, and always ready to help students with their queries.
The course fee is extremely affordable and provides great value for money for students in this region.
The campus has a peaceful learning environment with a good gender ratio of around 1:1 for boys and girls.

Dislikes

On-campus placement opportunities are limited, and students mostly need to look for off-campus jobs.
Campus infrastructure needs modernization, including better Wi-Fi access and updated lab equipment.
More practical exposure and industry-oriented training programs should be added to the curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers all essential topics required for higher studies. The curriculum is detailed and helps build strong subject basics. Teaching methods are traditional, so adding more interactive sessions and skill-based learning would be a great improvement. Exams take place every semester along with internal class tests, which helps in continuous evaluation without extra stress

THE OXFORD OF THE EAST

Likes

The fees is affordable in comparison to Delhi University.
The scholarship scheme is definitely helpful for those who are economically weak.
The main campus has a central library so its quite helpful

Dislikes

The books in the central library are quite outdated
The lack of infrastructure in the affiliated colleges of AU
No merit based scholarship scheme available for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm from humanities background so the course is quite relevant for me. The course is quite outdated however it's the same for most of the universities. the curriculum should be aligned with the competitive exams and the teaching methods should be more inclusive about the competitive exams so that the student can prepare well not only for the present course but also further upcoming exams.

Excellent Place for higher education

My college provide best education and hostel facility in india.Security is very good. Managment is very good.Transport facility inside the campus in now very good. Placements : The institute actually has very good placement records due to its outstanding alumni and also due to the presence of placement and training cell working day and night to indulge its students with skills and leadership. So, the placements in our college have never been a problem. Infrastructure : With almost hundred years on the calendar, our campus is luxurious from inside and filled with modern day necessities from inside. We have every resource that a student wants in his college life such as largely spaced room, Wi-Fi everywhere around the campus and many more things. So, the campus is unmatched. Faculty : The faculty members are nice, and I found them very helping and motivating. On the other hand, the course curriculum is a bit boring but essential too. A load of academics is very less compared to other IITs and hence students can do anything they want and could carry on their interest. I feel very proud to be a part of IIT BHU. Other : There are three main fests in our college, Kashiyatra, Technex and Spardha. All the fests are held at very high level. Participation from many IITs, NITs and other different colleges from many parts of India make our fests super big and exciting....Read More
