Remarks

nitw-gives you a memorable college life and a good career.

Entrance Preview

I wrote Joint Entrance Examination-Mains 2015(previously known as AIEEE). I scored around 180 marks out of 360 marks. I opted for National Institute of Technology, Warangal in Civil Engineering Stream. I got AIR 6400(Gen) . The CE stream is interesting in all other streams and NIT-W also has top rank in all among NIT. So that was the best option what I can choose. There is no interview process in this college. This is a central government college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As I belong to CE stream, the course our college offers is well maintained. In the first year, of course, they teach same things to all streams. After that in the second year, you'll get into your respective departments. All the professors are well skilled, knowledgeable and friendly. You can do a project with them, ask them for advice about your researches also.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, Our college provides internships also. But I guess, all those are on professors level. And you've to contact Prof. directly if you want to work with them for Research Interns. For Technical interns College is reputed greatly all over India, many companies which are highly recommended by the institute are Google, Infosys, Microsoft etc. The average stipend is 8000 rupees the experience was great

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements of our college are done by Training and placement section. The job opportunities for NITW is better than a top private college. Every year many multinational companies like Microsoft, Uber, deshaw, Goldman Sachs,VISA,ITC etc visit NITW. The highest package was offered 39.5lac per annum in 2018 by UBER. Overall average packed is about 12 lac per annum (CSE).

College Events

4

NITW organizes Technozion(Second largest TechFest of South India) and Spring Spree(Cultural fest) every year. Technozion 18 will have its 14th edition. There are different clubs like Music, dance, debating, TEDx, writing etc. All of them have their own events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is both feasible and expensive. All the category students(SC/ST) need not pay any fees in any stream(need to pay for hostel and messes). It is expensive for DASA students who come from abroad to study here. Other than this there is no problem with fees.Fee is affordable. You have 100 percent chance to get a job here. And we will able to crack any other competitive exams fee is 1,50000 per Annum

Fees and Financial Aid

As many of the students will get fee structure based upon their economic status mostly the students don't require any loans but still if anybody required it can avail loan from bank and college will be always helpful to make it out. The scholarship you will get by administration by your high academics. And you'll get other state scholarships also. And if you belong to SC/ST category then MHRD scholarships also there.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is very good. Being far from everybody learns many things. The gender ratio is very low. It is about 75:25. NITW has the facilities of all the playgrounds like Football, cricket, badminton, tennis, basketball etc. Even the college has gym facilities also.My college is excellent in terms of extracurriculars and I get many opportunities.

Hostel Facilities

5

NITW has Asia's largest hostel: Ultra mega hostel(total capacity of 1800 students). There are total 5-6 messes(excluding girl messes). The mess food is quite good. Sometimes it is worst. They provide both Veg and NonVeg messes. take whatever you want. The hostel facility is nice and I am not residing at the hospital and I don't know much about the colleges still

Alumni/Alumna

All the seniors are very helpful. The alumni network is also very strong. If someone approaches any alumni working in any big company, they will consider you and your skills.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is like: Minor 1 : 10 marks Mid Semester: 30 marks Minor 2: 10 marks End Semester: 50 marks Total marks: 100 marks per subject All the marks concluded in Grades in results. You need to get at least 30 marks to get a pass and 15 marks in end sem as well. They are not much difficult and easy to score good marks.

Admission

For admission to NIT Warangal, a common application form for different courses for all the NITs will be filled through the respective conducting board website (JOSAA 2018). Candidates should have passed 10+2 in Science stream for pursuing B.Tech and graduate degree in concerned disciplines for PG programs. Admissions to B.Tech and M.Tech courses will be through JEE Main and GATE respectively. For the M.Sc program, candidates will have to appear for JAM. Admissions to MBA and MCA will be conducted through CAT and NIMCET respectively. NIT offers B.Tech in various specializations. The minimum educational to apply is 75% marks in 10+2 or top 20 percentile in the 10+2 by the respective board. Physics and Mathematics are the compulsory subjects at 10+2 level.

Faculty

4.5

All the professors are well skilled, knowledgeable and friendly. All of them has a doctorate degree. Some of them have Masters degree also. Really believe me. They are really helpful. All the things they do only for our future benefits. That's why we have so high placements rate. The faculty for the first year students is harsh. Whereas, the second year onwards, the faculty is outstanding.

Placement Experience:

Currently, I am in my second year of B.Tech. As a second-year student, I have no idea about this field in college so I can say as per my idea, our college's last year's highest package is 20LPA. So I am glad and hope it will happen the same way for me. And sometimes we usually go to the industry visits that is one of best activities from the college.

As a second-year student, I have a very small idea of the placement. Based on my perspective, 3rd-year students get internships, and final-year students get placements. Based on my understanding, last year the highest package in our college was 20 LPA. hope this college will train me in that way and at filnal i will also got placed with a good package.

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good
