Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this course Because I was interested in physics and there are government jobs in my field. The curriculum is excellent and it is followed from a ciricullum of IIT. it has many subjects has labs which are industry recognised and helps students to get prepared for the requirements of industry. It can be more improved by removing the courses which are related to theory and tradition and business courses such as Tradition and knowledge.

Placement Experience

2

From the 7th semesters students are eligible to apply for the college placements. Top recruiters include:- Hugosave, Vasar labs, Accenture, white carriot, Medha servo, gridlex, any many other companies Nearly more than 100 companies visits college every year. Highest package offered was 17 LPA to 7 students by white carrot company and average package was 5 LPA Roles offered were Frontened developer, Backened developer, Chip design engineer, Quality controller etc. The placement percentage was not good as only 40 percent students got placed in my batch. However, I'm planning to do my masters after getting my bachelors degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise tution fees is 1,40,000. It includes hostel fees, tution fees, lab fees but it excludes examination fees for every semester students has to pay 500rupees. The students who get free seat has to pay 40000 per year from which they get 36000 reimbursement from government. And the students whose parents work in govt sector don't get fee reimbursement. NRI students have to pay 300000 per year. The cost of books is not included in the fees.

Campus Life

4

Every year there was technical test conducted at the college which lasts for 3 days it includes cultural events and science fairs. There are mainly two libraries available central library which is opened for 24 hours it contains many books which are required. Second one is digital library which contains 500 laptops which have unlimited internet access. Classes are really very good and well furnished and has digital boards.and internet access is available for students in classrooms. There are huge grounds available for sttudents and apart from that sports equipment's are provided.Sports include basket ball, volleyball, cricket, tennis, badminton football and many more. Apart from that there are two separate gyms for boys and girls. There are many clubs including e-cell, music club, singing club, dance club and hope house its doesn't impact their student life much if they participate in the se clubs actively.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel life not pretty much good. Facilities provided are a room which can accommodate 5 members and in each room 5 beds and 2 fans are present and in summer students are not allowed to bring coolers. The mess food is really very bad it doesn't have tasty food and quality of food also very poor. The menu is average and doesn't have much options of food. Infrastructure of mess is also very poor and unhygienic. No separate registration for hostel and mess because it's mandatory to live in hostel for studying in this college the students get registered in mess automatically as they get admission in college. As hostel is inside campus and students can't go outside so students can't rent a PG and they are not even allowed to cook in hostels.

Admission

I didn't applied to any other colleges and I choose this because it's near to my home and it has good placement opportunities for my field. One more reason I choose this college is because of its admission proves it very simple and u don't have to appear for any exams or interviews to get a seat. The admission depends on the marks obtained in 12th class

Faculty

3.5

There were enough faculties available for some courses but for some branches like civil and chemical the faculties were very less 1 tutor used to teach multiple subjects. Apart from that the teachers were MTech qualified and phd degree holders their teaching methods were excellent. I liked Rajesh sir he used to teach control systems because he taught us by making concepts clear. I didn't like Naveen sir who used to teach us micro controllers because he was very irregular and didn't solve doubts of students. There were 3 monthly test In each semester and part from that assignment test were conducted according to wish of faculty. And at the end of 3rd monthly test semester exams were conducted and after that lab exams were conducted. The exams were moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
