Likes
- The crowd of the college is very good.There is no ragging of anything of that sort .Seniors are very helpful.
- All activities, committees, and fests including Malhar is conducted fully by students.
- The curriculum is also very interested depth and the faculty is also very nice.The campus has two libraries both in which we can study.
Dislikes
- Placement opportunities are less than what is believed.Even though many companies visit they take only very few people
- The campus has a strict dress policy.You have to wear ID cards at all times and sleeveless dress,shorts and everything is not allowed.
- The class timings for commerce, especially BCom and BAF is inconvenient.For BAF classes begin at 7 in the morning while BCom is evening college
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum goes in depth and is kind of hard.Exams happen frequently that is every month we will have exams one way or the other.There are two CIA s(internal exam) before the final end semester exams.The question pattern is hard and difficult.
Placement Experience
The college does have a functioning placement cell .And many global MNCs like Accenture,Bain and Condo visit but they take only very few applicants.The rest are left to find jobs on their own.Many students choose to go for higher studies also.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly tuition fees is 75,000 total.It is to be paid upfront at the beginning.There are not additional fees except for conducting exams.The registeration fees was 500 for BAF.No category separate fee structure as of my knowledge.
Campus Life
The main fest of the college is Malhar.It is conducted completely by the students.Another famous fest is Indian Music Group's Janfest conducted in January.The infrastructure is nice.Sports and extracurriculars is also given importance.
Admission
I had applied for St Xavier's College, Kolkata,Mithibai,Jai Hind College and United Christian College.I got the merit list in all these colleges.I chose St Xavier's Mumbai above them because it has a good reputation and name in the course that I wanted compared to other colleges
Faculty
The faculty for BAF is very nice.Tbe student to teacher ratio is 60 to 1.The faculty is very nice and approachable.The Vice principal is Sanjay Parab sir.He is very approachable and guides you in the right direction for all your queries.The teaching faculty is also friendly.Exams are made very tough.
