Dislikes
- intime for boys is around 7 and intime for girls is around 6:30 , it need to be extended
- Lab has very old instruments it needs to updated with the current world
- Food in hostels are not upto the mark, like each hostel doesn't have same food
Course Curriculum Overview
I think we have too much theory classes , instead of which we should focus on learning practical skills and technologies. Just writing assignments and all are not going to take us anywhere. Indeed we have some fascinating labs and theory class also but other than that it's boring
Placement Experience
This college has excellent placements in both core and IT domain. Mainly in Mechanical engineering and Electrical engineering placements are too good . Many good private and government companies offer placements , not with any extraordinary packages but still it's good enough
Fees and Financial Aid
We have to submit our fees semester-wise , odd semester has less fees and even semester has more , but in first year you have to submit fees for entire year , I am in 5th sem so I submitted 13000 has course fees and 17000 as hostel fees
Campus Life
The best thing here is the Clubs all technical, cultural and sports, in technical we have several clubs like robotics, AERO tech, space rockets , racinycars etc , we have one technical fest SAMAVESH, cultural fest VASSUANT, and sports fest ILLUMINA every year
Hostel Facilities
HOSTEL structure is quite controversial, all hostels and not same ,some of the hostel has 3 star hotels level accommodation while some of them are not even in living conditions same goes with the food and water
Admission
VSSUT, Burla is the first engineering college of odisha, it has excellent placements comparing in other colleges. Its also very reputed among all government colleges in the state . Achivements of the students and alumni of is college are also known to all.
Faculty
EACH BRANCH HAS good facilities, per semester we have 2 exams mid sem and end sem, mid sem is of 30 marks and end sem is of 50 marks rest of the 20 marks is in the hand of professor of particular subject.
