Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Looking at scenario of core companies today, course seems so much relevant and the syllabus matches with the syllabus of GATE and ESE as well for my branch. They also makes us industry ready by teaching soft skills as well. Labs are so relevant (core labs). The exams are taken so continuously here. It should be little relaxed. Exams in every 1.5 months feels a little hectic and creates sense of not having time for other activities. Tho cats are not that difficult still it creates sense of not being able to pay time to other activities.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Direct companies visit the campus for internships and there are so many hackathons going in campus which also provides internships sometimes to talented people. Also college has a good start-up culture so you can even intern in start-up under college incubation cells

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are decent here. Tho a high CGPA is required to sit in the placements for good companies as companies filter out student CGPA because of so much crowd. Almost every big companies visit the campus ranging from consultancy to pure software (MANG, Jp, Goldman etc) every big dream company visits and top people with skills get placed really good. Placements for core is on a lower side

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees in this college is divided into categories. In total there are five fees categories for all courses which is decided during counseling time. I got admission into category and my fees is Rs. 1,73,000 for the one year. And it is constant it doesn't increase yearly. Some of the people in category 5 are paying more than 5,00,000 a year just in tuition fees. My tuition fees: 1,73,000 Caution deposit: 3,000 Hostel fees: 1,85,000 Admission fees: 15,000 Scholarships for VITEEE rankers and board toppers as well as some other institution scholarship are there.

Campus Life

5

The club and social life in vit is way too good. Because of so much crowd it might feel little over but there are so many events going on every other day. There are many clubs and chapters and most of them are so active and exciting. Gravitas (Tech fest) and Rivera(cultural festival) are two major events and they are so good. They happen at very large scale with a high budget. So many facilities are available in campus extracurricular activities. So many clubs so many opportunities.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostels are good. You can get AC as well as Non AC rooms with 2,3,4,6,8 sharing. Fees are different for all. Some blocks have good rooms, some have decent, but maximum rooms are good. Good condition and furnished. Few rooms are better than some hotels. From second year hostel are alloted based on CGPA.

Admission

I chose this college over other because I wasn't getting any good government college. Couldn't clear jee advanced, and through mains I was getting lower NITs (north eastern).so in the private colleges this college was the best option available. I cleared BITSAT as well but the fees for BITS Pilani was too much

Faculty

4.5

So far the faculties are awesome. They're actually interested in teaching us and keeps motivating us. Super chill teachers, very friendly and approachable. Doesn't burdens unnecessary. Polite and knowledgeable. Exams are conducted in three phase CAT1, CAT2, FAT each in interval of 1.5months throughout semester. CATs are of 50 marks weighted 30 (15*2), FAT are of 100 marks weighted 40 and the rest 30 weightage depends on teacher, either assignments (digital), or quizzes and internal. CAT2 are open book exam.

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.
