- Campus placements are very good and college have good reputation
- Located in a big city so you'll get exposure of the outer world
- Professors are mostly from phd department and they are very chill and friendly
Dislikes
- Very poor infrastructure as the college was built in 1952
- Non ac classrooms so in summers it becomes hard to even sit in the classrooms
- Very poor hostels .small dirty room with no ac or coolers
Course Curriculum Overview
Course schedule is also very relaxed for students. Like 2 days in a week it is off Saturday and sunday . 2 days in a week class are from 8 to 5 so it becomes hard to attend all of them bit on rest of the days we sometimes have only 3 class 1 to 4 and sometimes 10-1 . It is feasible for both hostellers and day scholars
Internships Opportunities
Internships are also very good . Many huge mnc'c take students for internship like - JPmourgan , Tata sleet ,birla steel , etc. You also get a summer internship without stipend but you get a lot of experience through it
Placement Experience
College offers good placemats to all alumi of the college. So I'll get a placement obv . But if luck goes bag then i might apply for software developing complanies for gettin a job or i migjt continue my higher stidies mtech and phd and then preoare for a govt. Job
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees per annum for btech is 2.25 lakhs .If you opt for hostel then 81500 rupes yearly and 3000 to 3500 per month mess bill. For sc/st students half free ship on fees is provide . For ews with family income below 1.5 lakhs full free ship on fees is provided . As i am from sc category so fees for my full 4 year programme is going to be in between 4-5 lakhs . My other friends from general category have this amount in between 8-9 lakhs .Per years the fees increases from 5-10k
Campus Life
There's nothing much to do in the college but as it is located in a good city with good amount of exposure so overall it becomes good. There's no such student Portals or anything like that you've jusy WhatsApp groups or google classrooms for assignments and projects . Infrastructure is very poor amc old as the college was made in 1952 so that's the one reason. Many clubs are there in the colleges like NSS , SASC , IEEE., ROBOTICS,Etc . You get a good amount of joy and knowledge by going into various clubs
Hostel Facilities
Hostel fees is annually 81500 with 3500 per month as mess bill . Hostel infrastructure is very bad and old . Small conjusted rooms with no coolers or ac's only old rusted fans . Shelves are also broken . Very poor hygiene toilets. Mess food is very good . It gives 4 meals a day. For admission you just have to fill the admission form and you'll be alloted a room in no time
Admission
Becayse this college is well reputed and have high placement records . I had applied for various NIT's but my jee rand was a bit higher than expected jo i got into here . For admission process you first have to score well in jee mains around 85-90 percentile for sc/st students and 95-97 percentile for general students
Faculty
Faculties are very knowledgeable and friendly. They're from phd department so they are already going through there college life so they feel the students. Exam structure is very simple just quizes then mid terms and then finals. Exam are taken by senior professors so they are a bit hard but if you attrnd all the classes you'll definitely score good marks
