Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Many universities, including Jain, strive to align their curricula with industry needs. This means that courses are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required for contemporary job roles.

Fees and Financial Aid

My name is Chatla Jessica Deborah and I was born and raised in middle East in a beautiful country called Oman and town I'm from is known as salalah if I'm being more specific. As I'm an international student, my fee structure is 2,00,000 per year for my course Ba OPJ (optional English, psychology and journalism)

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is big and wonderfully impressive. So many students I never seen all at once and it looked like the colleges from the movie from the sight of cultural activities and excitement was too real

Admission

I mainly was after to pursue psychology as psychology was the subject i clearly interested and while searching for colleges I came upon jain (deemed to be) university and well it didn't seem so bad and plus I wanted a college in Bangalore as well for some personal reasons.

Compulsory subjects relevant to the chosen major. Optional subjects that allow students to explore areas of interest. The Practical/Lab Work Hands-on experience to complement theoretical knowledge.Project Work asignificant research or design project undertaken by us students.

Other Applied Colleges

Jain University - [JU] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Journalism, Psychology and English)

I chose Jain (deemed to be) university because of its strong academic reputation, especially in the field of engineering. The professors are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects, and the campus atmosphere is vibrant and supportive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English curriculum at the Central University of Karnataka is comprehensive and academically relevant. The course covers British Literature, American Literature, Indian Writing in English, Literary Theory, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies, providing students with a strong foundation in language and literature. The interdisciplinary approach under NEP and the availability of electives were among the factors that influenced my decision to choose this course.

Placement Experience:

The university does have a placement team which faculy and student led. Studnets become eligible for placements towards the end of their fourth year - last semeter. Approximately 100-150 NGO's come to campus for recruiting. The university does not promote private firms for placement but students can apply indivitually. The average pay is 20 Lakh per year. Many students after undergraduation opt for higher studies, so is my plan. But most of the master's students opt for placement and 98% - 99% get placed into NGO in top positions. I plan to pursure a masters degree after my undergraduation, preferably in economics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We get to learn many things not because of just the syllabus and courses but also because of the national and international conferences that are held in our college. People from other colleges come in and share their knowledge with us. This experience is really good for us students. We even have expert lectures from our alumnis who give us advice on what all is required in the world outside college to earn. All these are really helpful.
