Faculty of the college influenced my decision for choosing the specialisation as accounting faculty are amazing and exporting too and marketing too The curriculum prepares you very well to prepare for your exam Faculty can change the class timing Difficulty is moderate

There are n number of internships offered by the college as many companies near the college offer internship all year long you can approach the teachers to ask for the internship opportunities You can also take up projects or research paper

Fees and Financial Aid

Course fee is around 14,000 and you can either pay it all together or in half instalment fees for all three years are the same you can avail concession if you're from OBC ST OR SC and can also avail for railway concession course fee for every specialisation are the same approx

Somaiya Fest are organised for every college in somaiya university Accessibility of books are very easy in library Facilities and technology are as per the standard Sports and all are very much appreciated and worked on There are many clubs that are run by the college

I had Kelkar college on my mind I got confirmed admission in it I didn't get rejected got an early admission in somaiya Admission college for somaiya is that you take your marksheet with you and fill the form online on somaiya and take print of your your somaiya online admission form and 10 12 marksheet and any reservations proof

Faculty

Faculty are very much approachable and friendly can reach out to them easily best faculty are of accounting Faculty for administration are a bit busy to be available all the time Per sem there are 6 subjects and even if you study just in class you can score easily

Interview Experience

There was no written test just an normal interview You just need to clear the boards and get above 75 % to get admission in the college No need to prepare for college admissions as it's very easy to get admission

IMDR Pune: A Good Choice for PGDM Aspirants

Likes

I liked the vibe carries right from the induction period.
Faculty is approachable and friendly, Teaching is practical based
Presentations help improve students in their communication skills

Placement Experience:

Since, I am currently pursuing my PGDM I have not yet experienced the placements offers by the college. However college gives better career opportunities to start with by offering good placements with minimum package for 600000

Likes

Infrastructure is just too good- Building is Fully Air Conditioned
Placement are really decent for a Commerce Graduate around 6-7 Lakhs per annum
Lots of student Associations are there to gain practical exposure.

Dislikes

Very Strict Attendance Policy of 75 Percent.
Rigid and Time Consuming Course Structure
Lot of Fests are there but they do not match the Vibe like North Indian Colleges Fests

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent around 6-7 LPA and almost 50% students get placed and the Highest package is Around 22LPA . Many MNCs visit the college such as McKinsey,Barclays, Goldman Sachs etc. • I am planning to get placed in a MNC.

Likes

Most important thing I like about my college is they are like the whole college is so creative.
There are many different batches or mat department but when it comes to fest or festivals they comes together to celebrate it
Talking about placement, the placement cell is soo good that I'll say every colleges should have this level of college cell as they invited, big companies such as Deloitte, hdfc bank,KPMG

Dislikes

The point which I dislike about my college is they should increase campus
Some of the teachers really need to behave like when they talk to students they don't know the manners
Basically the watchman is not good at all I personally feel that they really need to change their watchman as their is many girls in my college so at least one or two lady watchmen should college hire for their safety

Course Curriculum Overview:

In my college they provide us a presentation concept in which they teach us about how to face the real world and the remove the fear of speaking to world .they try to make every student more confident in any manner. Basically my department is soo good that they teach us alot of real world how to speak,how to look,how to handle everything in professional manner

Memories with study

I like that boy and girl are very comfortable and good friends and the there so many activities of girl to enjoy in library and in sport room there was a particular time of play for girl and boy to enter in sport room and there was activity of dance
Also I like teacher and the staff was very cooperative they help students in study and also help in other activities like in sport music dance and Also there are separate teacher for other subject
Also I like the canteen of my also was very good and the food was very good and the staff of canteen was very hygienic and very neet the price was also affordable

Dislikes

I don’t disliked any thing but I want a change in the college because the play ground of the college was big but not clean
And the second thing i disliked was the class was so small and the space was so big

The course curriculum is generally relevant and comprehensive especially due to specific aspect like its practical ,updated syallabus ,aligned subject which strongly influenced my decision to choose this course for my future aspect and the exam frequency and timming are managed was fair not difficult theory was little hard

Likes

Faculty over here is amazing , well educated qualified friendly teachers u will get
Canteen food is hygeinec and very nice they prepare everything fresh.
Sports are being conducted everyyy month there is gymkhana for students to play

Dislikes

Washroom facilty can be made better atleast for girls washroom
Some crowd over here is not decent according to the locality here.
Notes material are not provided completelyy

Placement Experience:

Placement in this college is nice they are offering good perfentage of placements over here!. Everything is consideredd well. 15000 20000 salary can be given to freshers which is good according to market. My plans after degree is to do CA.

Teachers are well qualified and experienced
The curriculum is suitable for students who are doing professional courses like CA CS ACCA etc.
There is always a scope for starting a side hustle in this college. You will find many associations and clubs

Dislikes

The examination results are always unexpected. Correction of papers and result declaration is unsatisfactory as marks are not given properly.
The extra facilities provided in college seems to be just for name sake because there is very limited time to access the facilities.
The schedule of the college is dynamic and there is no concrete timetable. Teachers complete their syllabus in last moment

Course is relative to Mumbai University curriculum. College takes intiative in making the student confident as it includes practicing presentation skills and builds communication skills simultaneously.

The faculty provides proper and needed attention to all the students. The way of teaching of the faculty is highly appreciated. The teachers creates an attentive, interactive and lively environment and teachers along with real-life examples. Exams aren't that difficult to pass as the teachers make every subject and topics easy to understand and learn and pass the exams with ease.

I am from the small town, and to stay in mumbai is difficult. So my college contains hostel facility and also it is reputed college. That's why I choose Sydenham College and I think its well college under Mumbai University.

I applied for S.I.E.S college of science,arts and commerce, Mumbai and kj Somaiya college of science, arts, and commerce. But i got confirmation in sk somaiya college. So I choose this college over others i Waited for this college because I heard many fascinating thing about this college. Other college like kj somaiya i didn't get admission because of percentage eligibility there was more cutoff comparatively. The eligibility of my college is minimum 80% above percentage and exams such as ssc board then CBSE board are required, if talking about experience I had a very mid experience because I didn't took all the required documents and i had to run to xerox place but one thing is good that the xerox place was available in the college itself . The years I will remember.

I applied to KJ and Rizvi as well and got confirmation from Rizvi, but after comparing it with SK Somaiya in aspects such as sports and curriculam, SK Somaiya was the best fit for me. I did get rejected in KJ Somaiya because of my marks in 10th, KJ is known to have the highest cut-offs. The admission process is centralised and is done on the basis of merit and seat available. So basically I wanted to join somaiya Vidyavihar only it was a dream college for me and the process was like we have to apply or registered online on their portal then you all have to wait for the merit list if your name is there they then you will get a mail for the admission process where you will get an so my as mail id which is for educational purpose or any details or any information about the college or about the campus the svv net ID portal which will be provided in the mail from there you have to fill the form and you have to pay the fees online offline is not allowed like everything you have to pay online and after that when you will go to the college you have to collect your ID's before that you have to take appointment in that portal only in the ID Card section and then you will get an ID from the college campus...Read More
