Course Curriculum Overview
When considering bcom course in Miranda House, there're specific aspects like this course offers a balanced blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills like accounting, finance, economics, business law. This course helps to develop soft skills like communication, teamwork. As the college offers the theoretical knowledge and academic values, I believe should focus on providing practical knowledge too which can help the students to expand their knowledge
Fees and Financial Aid
I'm from Miranda House (DU) I'm currently pursuing Bcom program. As a NCWEB student the course affordability is quite reasonable. You've to pay admission fee, examination fee, association fee. So it's a four year degree so there's 8 sem and you've to pay examination fee per semester and you've to pay admission fee per year. I'm in my third year, Fifth sem so here are the amount I paid till now in my cousre. For 1st year admission fee-3365 For 2nd year admission fee-3124 Semester fees- 1st sem-1510; 2nd sem-1010; 3rd sem-1810; 4th sem-1210. Association fee-325 So the overall fee structure is affordable. And there're many opportunities you get to build a bright future in Miranda. There are societies and events which helps you to connect with alumni and others, you just need to keep an eye. Miranda House offers a range of courses and scholarships like merit-based scholarship and need-based financial aid which is awarded to the students based on their academic performances.
Campus Life
The college held the annual fests, events and the important event of the year in miranda is Tempest. College doesn't allow the ncweb students to access the library. The classrooms are airy but as a ncweb student we face many difficulties like we doesn't have fixed classrooms, our classrooms are getting alloted in different room numbers, in summers it is insufferable to sit in classrooms because we doesn't get the air conditioned classrooms. Well the college offers many clubs and societies according to different interests but it is only limited to regular students.
Admission
As the admission was merit based, so the process wasn't so difficult, after filing the admission form, you've to wait till the cut-off is released then you can choose any college in which you want to apply, then you've to fill the form in college website and fill the details, the college will approve it and you get the admission in your selected college. As I scored good grades I got the admission in every college in the Ncweb but I chose Miranda House because- As it's a women's college, and as being a girl myself I felt safe to get the admission there as the college encourages women empowerment and foster leadership skills and confidence. This college is keep ranking top college in DU from last many years. It has strong alumni network connections, has well equipped labs, library. College infrastructure is quite rich filled with lush greenery. The faculty is good, the academic environment encourages the student to seek the opportunity.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is good. All the teachers comes at the right time and they complete their syllabus on time. There're presentations, practicals, vivas, mock tests which helps the students to be prepare for coming exams. The faculties are approachable, they focuses on every student. They give good advice and gives the opportunity to every student to clear their doubts. The exams are neither easy nor difficult. If the student is fully prepared then they can pass the exam easily.
