Likes
- First of all the college I'm persuing my graduation from...is a women's college so girls to boys ratio cannot be defined.
- The first thing I would say I like about my college is...the campus. I really like my college campus as it has greenery everywhere ....close to nature etc.
- The second thing that I like about my college is the canteen. The food there is really really good, it's tasty, hygienic and most importantly it's affordable.
Dislikes
- Timings - The college timings can be a issue for me and others also as the dispersal timings can be problematic in winters.
- Infrastructure - Overall the infrastructure is really good and even better in new building but need a little improvement at some areas.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course for the graduation is Bcom prog. I've chosen bcom prog because of several reasons like I'm from commerce stream so the 1st preference for commerce students is always bcom either program or honours and another reason is that I really wanted to do this course as it has good placement chances. Personally I think that the college itself should provide internship to each every student for their better future.... and also provide them information regarding CV and other things.
Internships Opportunities
As I'm in my first semester and it's only been I month here so I'm not quite familiar with internship and all and also because I haven't got any till now...but there are internship opportunities available under our college. Various reputed companies being offered under internships such as Deloitte, wipro, tradeshala and many more.
Fees and Financial Aid
Ohk so my name's Anshi Shukla and I'm a first year student in Maitreyi College Delhi University. I'm currently in my 1st semester. I've paid approx 13000 rs as my 1st year fees and it includes tution fees , development fees , and other compulsory charges and also it doesn't include examination fees and we have to pay it separately. And as far as I know the fees will increase as of 2nd year and about the scholarship...I didn't got any neither I've more info about it.
Campus Life
Our college organises various fests and events such as Dandiya raas on navratri, diwali mela on the time of diwali, fresher's day for the newbies, and other memorable events like rhapsode etc . It also organises stationery donation drives, clothes donation drives and several other charitable drives to help those who are in need. And basically our college provides all facilities that it should.
Admission
I got admission in Maitreyi College of Delhi University on the basis of cuet exam. First we have to give cuet and then on the basis of the marks you'll get the admission. I really wanted to get into DU so I applied for it and made preference sheet of several colleges under it. And on the basis of cutoff and my marks I got maitreyi college and I'm really happy about it.
Faculty
So talking about faculty ratio, it's different subject wise as in optional and core subjects. In core subjects the ratio could be around 70:1 and in optional it varies....can be 30:1 or can be 60:1 , so it's not same for every subject and class. The faculty student relationship is quite good in my college and taking about exams, we have mid term and final exams basically 2 in a year and about the dufficuly level idk about it because it's my first semester.
