Likes
- The classrooms are very very big with ambient atmosphere which is pleasing and rooms dont heat up that much during the scorching heat of summers
- The Auditorium has central AC which is relaxing while placement session talks and classes are done mainly after the recess time which is after 2 pm .
Dislikes
- They must fix the drainage system of the college , whicle it rains rainwater accumulates upto above ankle level that is very disturbing while changing buildings and we get soaking wet in that
- The faculty needs to be restructed along with new teachers joining and the Labs in the ECE building needs refurbishing as its outdated and blazing hot in summers on the top floor
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is really well equipped with the teachers who are highly qualified and have more than 15+ years of teaching experience. But the university gives us an optional subject to choose from , from 2nd year and onwards but our college limits us on having our own choice and foces us to opt that subject which they have faculty in , this is a con.
Placement Experience
Its okayish like comparing to other colleges the placement record of AOT in 2024 is a bit lower than expected due to the job market and we hope it gets only better from now on. Well in my case im opting to join railways and am preparing for it & i hope for the best.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total tution fee i around 4.5Lakh in 4 in 4 years combined. 10000 is caution money , 2700 insurance etc. SVMCM Scholarship is available but only you cna avail it if your house annual income is less than 2.5lpa and marks above 65 percent in 12th.
Campus Life
The campus life is pretty good and ambience is really nice due the small water body present inside the campus and also seasonal events such as TECHFIESTA (Tech Fest), AIDEO(Seniors Farewell Event), CAMPFIRE(Hostellers annual event) and the main one is ARCADIA (2day Fest where big artists sing and students enjoy).
Admission
i chose this college on the basis of that they offer us really good placements but from 2020-2024 the placements have gradually dropped due to recession and the percentage that college shows is based on the thing that is for example if 10 students are eligible for placements and also if 7 of them havent got any job and the other 3 got 3..4 job offers then they show it as more than 100% placement, which we came to know later but its also not their fault as the job market is really not good these days. comparing to other colleges the placement record of 2024 is really low as of latest.
Faculty
College has good faculty but student also need some new faces and new energy to study . Teacher student realtionship is pretty good . Some of the best faculties i had throughout my careeer is KSM,PPM,NC,RN,AKN,SC and many more these are my ECE professors and they helped me a lot in my 4 year journey.
Interview Experience
No there was no GD,Interview or written test for admission. It was a butter smooth experience during admission.I got asked only the simple questions like my hobbies what do i like studying etc. , all in all it was a really good experience.
