Course Curriculum Overview

Since the curriculum includes a mini project and main project , it definitely improves skills related to the course making students ready for the industrial experience. Something that can be improved is the gap between exams and the semester duration which is very short

Placement Experience

There are a lot of placement opportunities in the college.There is a dedicated CGPU unit to manage placement opportunity for the students.Multi National Companies like Oracle,Amazon, cognizant etc hires students every year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee per semester including university fee will be 10000. During the admission 14000 - PTA Scholarships will be available for GATE scholars and other scholarships like E-grantz , and reliance scholarships are also available

Campus Life

There are lots of clubs to promote extra curricular activities like Cycling, dance, bbc.Two famous and spectacular events in college is drishti , the technical fest and Dhwani the arts fest.In case of sports there is basketball court etc

Admission

Application is mainly through DTE , considering the gate score and CGPA, the college will be alloted.priority during allotment is given to GATE scholars.college provides vast number of courses , there are a lot of choice. This was my first option.

Faculty

Well qualified teachers . For ug courses there are two series exam and for pg courses one series exam. Almost 80 percent of the students pass the exam.Course curriculum is very relevant, includes projects which helps students in developing related skills.

Campus life

Placement Experience:

Placement are provided for final year students. Many companies visited the campus like TCS, Microsoft, L & T etc. The average packege offered is about 100000 to 15000 per year. However the percentage of students placed is relatively low, about 50 %

Student centered campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are good. As I understand each students get minimum 20 company interview chances. students are placeed in TCS, Johson & Johson, eependorf, cipla, infosys etc. i think some where around 50000 per month was the highest. lowest is 15 k i believe.

M.Tech in IIST: My review

Placement Experience:

I wanted to continue my research work and that is why I did not take part in the final placement process. The highest salary package offered was Rs.11 LPA and the average salary of Rs.6 LPA. Acsia technologies, Aadyah aerospace, Antrix corporation, COMSOL-India, HCL, Infosys, Intel, and zentron were some of the top organizations recruited in our final placement program.

IIT Palakkad performs admirably under the direction of IIT Madras, and the college's placement record is as impressive. The college achieves a placement rate of 100 percent. The placement committee at the college is so dedicated that they are able to not only attract good firms but also assist us during the placement stages. Our batch's maximum package was 35 LPA, while the average package was roughly 15 LPA. During the placement drive, companies such as Google, Arista Network, TCS Research, McKinsey, Honeywell, Texas Instruments, and Microsoft visited the campus.

Placement Experience:

In a very short period of time the college us able to match the standards of IIT. Few of my batchmates received pre-placement offers during the college internship program. The college was able to provide the highest package of around 30 LPA and the average package was 11 LPA. Arista Network, Google, TCS Research, Mckinsey, Honeywell, Texas instruments and Larson and Toubro were the top recruiters. Almost more than 65+ companies participated in the college placement drive.

College management is efficient. But the office staff is irresponsible. We have to give our certificates before admission, but they will store the certificates as a irrelevant piece of paper. We got our certificates back as folded and dirty.

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
