Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is however old dated and it's the same for all the colleges that come under Mumbai University. The same set of subjects and modules are taught that are a bit too old dated I believe however we get to opportunity to select elective subjects that the university offers which are subjects that tend to have relevance in the near future like I took subjects like blockchain, machine learning, natural language processing, social media analytics.

Internships Opportunities

2

On campus internship opportunities are provided by the college but they're not as prominent as the placements here. Like only 35-40 students out off 400 students got selected for the internship opportunities so yeah not that impressive. Companies like Deutsche Bank and oracle visited here and offered 75k and 50k stipend respectively for the role of software developer intern. Other companies include general mills, Colgate, Barclays.

Placement Experience

5

The sole reason for me to choose this college was the placements. It's too good here. Like right now I'm in my final year and I'm already placed so yeah. For the computer engineering and it department the placement percentage is too good. However the students from other branches like artificial intelligence and data science, chemical, extc also have descent placements. The companies like Jp Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Deloitte, Oracle, quantiphi, TCS, cognizant and many others visit. The highest package currently is 19.63 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees that a genral category student has to pay is 188000 something at the moment and when I took admission it was 186000 so yeah it is getting increased. Talking about scholarships the college provides ebc scholarships where the tution fees is reduced to half and it is around 110000 for the ones having annual income in the economically backward range.

Campus Life

2

One thing that the college lacks is the campus life. Like there's no campus as such, it's just a building and that's it. You need to move out of the college premises to explore. About the annual fests there is just one club that organises stuffs that's the students council apart from that various clubs organise hackathons throughout the year. The nss committee is quite active for the social services works.

Admission

I choose the college over other simply because of its high placement rates and it's connectivity from my place. It just took me 45 mins to reach the college. The admission process was quite simple based on the mht cet scores or the jee scores like I got admission on the basis of my 96 percentile that I got in jee and secured a seat in computer engineering department.

Faculty

5

The faculties of my college are too good and helping in nature. Even if it was the last day for submission they never make us feel bad or insulted , they always try to help the students score as much as possible and in my final year attendance restrictions was also not there so the students can prepare for the placements. About the exams there are 2 internal assessment exams in each sem of 20 marks and there are practical exams and the final end sem exam

Companies started sending their placements form to college groups from starting of the 7th semester. For particular branches, particular companies visited. Many companies send their placement forms this year. But each selected a max of 2-3 candidates only. In the strength of 76, 15 got placed on campus this year. Selection rates or placements criteria were too low.

Remarks:

Focusing on student's attendence rather than focusing on students concepts. College is not focusing in development of students only paperwork is done. No conceptul teaching nor practical. By doing this stuff we can get a btech degree but not the knowledge a btech student should have.
