The course curriculum at du is generally considered to be both relavant and comprehensive, although can vary by department and individual courses. Relevance: Updated content: many programs have integrated contemporary issues and emerging trends, especially in field like business, economic and political science. This ensures that students are equipped with knowledge pertinent to current societal and market needs

Internships Opportunities

Corporate intership: many students secure intership in industries such as finance, marketing and it. Non profit ngo intership: du students also have opportunities to intern with ngos and social organisation, allowing them to work on community service project and gain insights into social issues. Research internship: Students pursuing field like science, humanities and social science can find research internship in academic institutions

Fees and Financial Aid

My total fees for bcom Hons is 15000 annually, earlier in my first year it was 14000 but it increases every year. Total fees amount is 15513 in my second year. There is also examination fees which depends on the course and the subjects. Like my was as follows: Since I am Bcom Hons students (7 subjects), my following fees are: 1. Minimum fees for semester 3 course -400 2. Additional fee for 2 course in semester 3 - 200 3. Fee for 5 practical course - 1000 4. Statement of marks fee - 100 5. Examination form fee - 1710 Those who are from Management quota also pay the same fees, there is no difference in amount to pay the annual fees or examination fee. Delhi University also provides various scholarships like: For the undergraduate scholarship: 1. Delhi University and college karamchari union book grant :INR 250 per month for one year. 2. Dr. VKRV rao endowment book grant: INR 100 per month for one year. 3. Sardar Kartar Singh Grover memorial Book- grant:INR 50 per month for one year. For the post graduate students: 1. meritorious postgraduate students with amounts ranging from 250-400 per months. 2. Mohan lal Sukhadia gold medal is given for academic excellence 3. Sh. Prem Prakash award support those excelling in specific subjects. 4. Scholarship like the smt. Savitriagnihotri scholarship. 5. Pt. Man mohan nath dhar book-grant are available for those pursuing courses in arts and science. 6. Financial aid amounts vary depending on the scholarship criteria, typically ranging from partial fee waivers to a few thousand rupees per month, aimed at reducing the financial burden on students. And talking about quota students, Du also offers fee concession for economically disadvantage students which included OBC,SC and ST candidate. Candidate from these categories are encouraged to apply for scholarship or financial aid provided by the university, depending on their eligibility. These policies ensures that seats reserved for OBC, school and st candidates are fully utilised.

I have choose this college over there college because: Reputation and prestige: Du is one of India's most prestigious universities known for its academic excellence and rich history. The university consistently ranks high in national surveys and has a strong reputation, which can enhance a graduate empoybility and credibility in the job market.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.

Placement Experience:

6th sem is the first time college placement are proceeded . Companies are not impressive and mostly are entry level jobs such as cold calling and such which they offer. Highest package was 4 lpa and avg was 2.5 only. Around 60 percent students gets placed.

I choose BCOM because the want to take ACCA after BCOM it will helps to improve my career and give a better job and also BCOM is the basices of ACCA like law, financial managment, taxation etc .The curriculam provide strong fountation for students who wamts to pursue higher studies such as M.COM , MBA and professuonal couses.
