Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I did not want to rely on only coding to grab a job hence took the business aspect of the course as well .since I'm a second year student the course right now is really irrelevant and has many subjects which are not needed for engineers at all but I'm sure that in the fourth year it does concentrate on more real life problems and relevant concepts . I would suggest making a more modern curriculum and also give up on traditional teaching and evaluating methods .the frequency is basically every week some small exam is there difficulty is mostly moderate with most people being able to clear the exam

Internships Opportunities

3

Not sure about roles since I'm still a second year student but companies like jsw iwave infotech Infosys and even colleges like nitk provide internship opportunities with a decent stipend of around 10-15k

Placement Experience

3

Students become eligible for campus placements right after the fourth semester . In the year 2024 a total of 800+ offers were made for placements multicoreware Surya software propel comviva 7edge are some of the companies that provided offers the highest package was 27.5 LPA and average was 4-7 LPA for almost all the companies . 80% of students get placed by their fourth year . My plans after getting my degree would primarily be to find a well paying job but also I have a side focus to perceive my MBA

Fees and Financial Aid

I got my seat through kcet exam and I have to pay a tuition fees of 90000 per year and a fee of rupees 25000 for the labs and registration fees which sums up to a total of 115000 per year for four years

Campus Life

3

There are mainly two fests that are held in a year Milan and tiara where Milan is a cultural fest and tiara is a technical fest Milan usually held in the months of April -may and tiara usually held between November- December .there's a wide variety of books and journels present in the library covering all areas required . The classrooms are provided with basic facilities and a smartboard as well. There are sports in the campus but is very discrete and is not encouraged on campus there is a sports day held as well once a year there's no student run clubs but a lot of clubs are provided by the college for the students to participate

Admission

I got admission in many other colleges because of my Kcet rank and also mahe exam rank .I had gotten the mathematics and computing department in mit which I couldn't join because of family issues and I just really liked the vibe and other infrastructure over the other colleges which I had gotten which are sahyadri and mite and aj . Admission can be done in many different ways like kcet exam , management quota and also minority exam ..since it's a regional institute people mostly prefer to join through minority exam but there are a lot of people who come through kcet as well cutoffs for kcet of my course usually lies between 25k-30k rank in kcet .the overall admission experience was fine from the college side but not from kea

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is pretty good there are sufficient lecturers we also have mentorship programs where every student is assigned a specific mentor . The faculty I liked the most is namitha I liked her because of the unique way in which she teaches us and doesn't just rely on ppts and slides . No dislike particularly for any teacher except the cyber security faculty who don't want to help the students at all and have a very bad attitude for no reason. There are exams almost every week either lab exams or internals or quizzes something or the other they are usually not very difficult .barely 2-3 people fail to clear the exam . The curriculum is really really outdated I mean we have biology in the second year of engineering like for what reason hence the syllabus is very irrelevant

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects like: we had 2 internal exams in the semester and after completing these internal exams roughly at the 5th month we had practical exam + end semester exams, these exams would be mainly theory based inclusing some conceptual based questions & based on our understanding only, we can able to write the answers. One thing, I would suggest was we shall give more weightage to the practical based learning, that too during our days we were just the beginning of AI & Iot era was effectively going on, if we had some advanced eductaion covering these aspects we would have got the opportunity to shine more in our carrers. As a student, we faced slight diffuclities and challenges matching the real-life happenings with the acdemics, that would be one of the shortcoming I can say.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.
