Dislikes
- There are not much things to be disliked, The only thing is some lectures would teach classes in only hindi language that I don't like
- Hostel facility is big problem, there are no enough hostels for all the students in NIT raipur some has to stay out of campus
- Placements for low courses like metallurgical, chemical and biotech are not good compared to others
Course Curriculum Overview
Relevance to Industry and Emerging Trends: The curriculum at NIT Raipur aligns well with core engineering principles and includes foundational courses across disciplines. In branches like Computer Science, Electrical, and Electronics, students are introduced to contemporary topics like data science, machine learning, and embedded systems, which are industry-relevant. However, some departments may have slightly outdated portions, and students often feel the need to supplement with online courses for fast-evolving fields like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and renewable energy. Practical Applications and Hands-On Learning: NIT Raipur emphasizes practical application, with regular lab sessions, workshops, and project-based learning integrated into the curriculum. This aspect is particularly strong in core engineering fields like Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical, where students get hands-on experience with tools and projects. However, the amount of industry exposure can vary, and some students feel there could be more collaborations with companies for internships and real-world projects. Research Orientation and Depth: The curriculum offers solid theoretical foundations, and faculty encourage students to participate in research. NIT Raipur also has specialized labs and resources for research in fields like materials science, electronics, and environmental engineering. That said, the depth in cutting-edge research areas may vary depending on faculty expertise and department resources.

Admission
I chose NIT raipur because NIT Raipur is part of the National Institutes of Technology, which have a strong reputation across India. Being an NIT, it’s known for quality education and reliable job placements, particularly in core engineering branches. Compared to state colleges or private institutions, NIT Raipur benefits from its national recognition, government support, and resources. The curriculum is comprehensive, and NITs typically have a structured syllabus to cover foundational topics thoroughly. Though NIT Raipur’s curriculum can lag in a few emerging fields, the quality of core subjects remains strong. NIT Raipur has a strong placement record with frequent visits from reputable companies. While IITs and some top-tier NITs may have an edge with more international placements and broader tech exposure, NIT Raipur still provides very competitive placements
Faculty
Faculty are very good and very interactive to every student in our college. They will explain every thing clearly and they are very comfortable with students to explain the doubts. There are Almost 12 courses in NIT raipur including biotech , biomed and architecture etc. Exams system is completely strict and correction is also tough and you will get marks for what you write and there won't be any partiality for other students
