Course Curriculum Overview

4

Overall, I would rate the curriculum as moderately relevant and up to the national education policy (NEP). The curriculum of the course BSc. in Computer Science which I pursued is 50 percent similar to curriculum of course BTech in Computer Science as the college aims to match the level of btech. These also includes a good range of core subjects that are foundational to the field, along with some advanced topics that is in current industry trends. The program offers a balance of theoretical and practical knowledge as well as there is project for even theoretical subject. There is also a availability of electives to learn the other areas of study which allows students to study varieties in different field of study. The curriculum does well in preparing students with core concepts that are essential for any related field. The results will ultimately depends on students hardwork. I am in 3rd year and I have attended many sessions held in campus regurarly regarding future advancements and tools. I didn't find any big improvement the campus should focus on there curriculum is good, the frequency of exams and lab evaluation and lab test also the pbl will ultimately teach you time management and pressure handling irrespective whatever the course you are pursuing.

Internships Opportunities

4

I am in 3rd year of course Bsc in computer science in year 2024 and I did summer intership in the month of may to july which is our summer vacations. Our department helps us to provide us the intership, as the course newly launched in year 2022 and we are the first batch student we received less opportunities but still college helps us to anyhow get internship with referral mails and i got one by applying on my own. It was a good experience as I performed some hands on work while studying, I did internship in web development where I created a mostly static website for a money advising startup named Rovisor.

Placement Experience

4

The campus placement are muh better than other colleges in Noida and greater noida. The highest package I saw of my senior in these three years are of 60 lpa to 90 lpa and lowest of 4 lpa with average of 12 lpa. Similary, the highest package of 7 lpa and lowest of 3.5 lpa for BBA, BCA and BSC students. Many companies visits in the campus like Accenture, wipro, tech Mahindra, Deloitte, Adobe, De shaw and co, Ericsson, etc. The placement period starts from August till February or march of final year. And the intership mails in the same months of third year. There is also a summer internship for each and every course which should be done by every student as it is the part of the course curriculum with 4 credits.

Campus Life

There is the annual fest named Impressions in the month of February, it is the 2-3 days fest which consists of many competitions and programs such as dance, singing, coding hackathon and computer games, and many activities with the conceret by the artists on the last day. There is the jaypee youth club (JYC) which takes responsibility of all of this. Also the campus has many clubs such as surkhaab for dance and Joust for literature and acts, and for singing too. For sports I would say there is no such big ground to play football or cricket in sec-62 campus but this campus too encourage and provide transport facilities to do the same in sec- 128 campus as the sec-128 campus is more bigger in land area and have ground to play. By the way sec- 62 campus possess basket ball court, swimming pool, and lawn tennis. There is a NCC group in the campus for students showcase there humanity and regards through social work. The NCC group is provided by faculty and the students regurarly go for the social works. In overall I would say you can enjoy and focus on studies easily in the campus with the balance they ultimately provide.

Admission

I apllied in Aligarh Muslim University, aligarh and Jamia Milia Islamia, delhi where my name appeared in waiting list but didn't get seat in last round and failed to secure a seat in Jamia milia islamia. I then applied for bachelor of science in computer science as I was left with less option but I opt for Jiit for its reputation and discipline. I also had a thought of other private universities and AKTU affiliated colleges but my parents allowed for only Jiit as per its reputation. For BTech courses the admission is based on Jee rank and 10+2 scores and for other BCA, BBA, BSC, MSC there is standard entrance test or 10+2 score. I also cleared admission test which is not that hard to crack.

Faculty

The college maintains a basic faculty-to-student ratio of approximately 1:60, class rooms have a seating capacity of approx 70, the classes are of 50 mins and labs of 1hr 50 mins. The faculty members are approachable and supportive encouraging students to ask questions and seek help outside of class hours. Many professors are open to discussing academic as well as career-related queries, faculties are ready to clear doubt as many time you ask. All the faculties of each department are up to mark and appreciating still my personal favourite professors I appreciate are:- Professor Amitesh : Known for their deep knowledge in computer science specially programming languages like C++, C, python, etc. and an interactive teaching style that keeps students engaged. He is very accessible and make complex concepts easy to understand. Dr. Kavita pandey: She has a friendly approach towards students, and their practical examples in computer Networks make learning highly relatable and enjoyable. These professors have helped many students succeed academically due to their engaging methods and supportive approach. Areas for Improvement: There were some faculty members, such as professor Aastha maheshwari whose classes felt somewhat less interactive, and the teaching style is casual ehich leads to self study more. This sometimes made the material harder to grasp, especially for students who prefer hands-on learning. There are test1, test2 (mid sem) and test3 (end semester) which are total of 20, 20 and 35 marks respectively. And rest of 25 marks are of Teacher Assessment which includes quiz, attendance, pbl (project based learning), class attentiveness.

Other Applied Colleges

Jamia Millia Islamia University-[JMI] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc]

The college is located in jamia nagar, okhla which is far from my residence in govind puram, ghaziabad. Also I attempted the entrace test but I failed to get a seat.

Placement Experience:

Speaking about the campus placement and internship opportunity the company visit for this college campus where not so good like they were decent labeled but not that high profile company apart from this the college also provided internship for deserving candidate where applying and most not always getting but let me tell you you have to also work hard no college used to give complete internship and placement either it's our college or you can take another college also the same condition so if you are thinking guaranteed internship and college placement so I would like to recommend work hard, if you literally want on campus placement. Don't get this pointed if you are not getting placement from college you can apply for self help also as it is a digital AI and lots of job companies like LinkedIn and reputable websites are also there to apply for just I would like to say build your skill ,upskill yourself throughout the college semester period workout also on your psychic like body posture and good looking and personality developing developing which is most important criteria plus charm in the job purpose and you will give a good status.
