Course Curriculum Overview
I had interest for CSE and SRM gives great opportunities for job and masters, The faculty student ratio is very good. per class 60 students are there. All the professors are PhD and have great skills and knowledge about their course. Exams are good and one of the easiest to pass when compared to other colleges, almost everyone will pass.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies come offering from 10k to 1.25L and the average being 35k. Many big commercial MNCS and banks visit the canpus every year and u can directly get a PPO or a full time offer to join directly after internship
Placement Experience
The Placement opportunity is one of the best in private colleges they have companies coming for internships and for full time too overall about 800-900 companies visit each year taking all the students with 100% placements. It is upto the students to get the highest package many can get 20+ packages too almost everyone gets 10+ packages only a few who are not good get 5-10 they have rigorous placement training which is a big help and all big companies come to visit many fortune 500
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is 4.5 lakhs right now. Once you have taken the admission they will not increase the fees. There is no scholarship as well but defence scholarship is there. You can easily get jobs with good stipends. They dont charge much fees as such but you need to pay about 2-3k each sem for sem exams as well as 10k for placements and training which us compolusory overall it is very good compared to other colleges and they dont ask for anything else unless it is your fault like if u get an arrear or lose your ID card
Campus Life
There are many student run clubs and the college management is very good at letting them run on their own but their funding is less. But i still think its better than other colleges. There are many fests and events happening all the time so no one will be bored. They have awesome sports facilities and produce many great athletes anyone is free to use them
Admission
Elgibility: It has wide range of course with different elgibilities but 10+2 is mandatory and a percentage of 65% or more is required. Application Details: Application form and all the details are available on the website, SRMJEE is the entrance exam that needs to be given with fees of 1200 rupees. There is no reservation in SRM Admission process is very nice since its online.
Faculty
The faculties are nice but can always be better most of them are not very knowledgeable but some are Ivy League educated there is a mix of good and bad like at any college and also its my opinion but you can find awesome faculties here as well the Student to Faculty ratio is very good. The exams are not very difficult most students can pass them easily with regular studying
Night Life
The nightlife considering its chennai so its alright but can be better in terms of safety as the canpus gets very empty after 9pm and the In times of hostels are very very strict especially for girls. Many cafes and gyms are open 24x7 but the area is not the safest
