Likes

The Campus infrastructure and the environment
Faculties are very helpful and are approachable
There is no ragging and very strict action is taken against it.

Dislikes

Morning from 8-9 there is very much traffic
I wish we had classes from 10am till 3-4pm
There are very heavy fines if you are not following the rules

Course Curriculum Overview

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Class Size: 51Course Fees: INR 164000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I have payed 108000 for KCET and 56000 for the college management for Mechanical engineering. The students who joined through management they have paid 3.5L. This does not include the payment for the books. There is a financial aid by government for KCET students. For SC/ST fees are low from KCET.

Campus Life

We have Sargam fest this month end, we have Badshah coming to our college. There are a bunch of books in the library, u can either borrow books or can get them from the digital library which is accessible from the library. We have smartboard in our class and about 15 benches in one class. We have sports club and NCC clubs and about 146 total clubs in our college.

Admission

I had choice between dayananda Sagar and new horizon college of engineering. Dayananda Sagar is far from my place and the faculty are not that good that is the reason I have choosed new horizon over dayananda Sagar. I have got the admission through KCET and it took a day for the admission process. It is best to get admission through KCET. The fees is less and is best for value.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is about 1:60 and they are very helpful with doubts and clarification. I love DR.Srinivasa sir, he is strict but teaches concepts very clearly, i like every faculty but there are small things which I don't like, for example they are strict, if not completed the assignment and get low marks in exams. Per semester we have 3 exams, 2 internal exams and 1 final exam. So every month we got exams. We have a total of 5 modules per subject

Night Life

We have and outdoor and indoor gyms. The gyms are different for men and women in indoor gym. We have a underground and a ground library. The public will be closed by 5-5:30pm. The campus timings are from 9am to 5pm. U can leave at 4, an hour is dedicated for extra-curricular activities. The famous spots in college are Udupi or umbrella cafeteria and munch.

The faculty's are well qualified, and they have a good teaching methods.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have been from diploma background, after diploma I joined this course as later entry (direct admission to 2nd year). In diploma also, I have studied the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) course. As I know the basic concepts about this course, it is easy for me now to understand the concepts.

There is a discipline in our college and good atmosphere

there is no specific sports for there course
vehicles parking is not good our the college

Placement Experience:

from 5 th semester there will be campus place ment is there There will many companies are visited , like Amazon, google, There is 60 lakh per annual but i didn't known which companies there will be 80 percent students are getting placement my plan is to make money and help the poor peoples There is beast placement in our college , there will be a internships and good here for Hailey package in this college

Good Infrastructure and Career Opportunities

Likes

Yes the first thing I liked is the campus and the environment there is no harrasment and strict action will be taken.
And second thing is faculty members are so helpful and they always help to students and different festival
And also the campus provide all facilities and make helps to sports and ration is almost equal of boys and girls

Dislikes

Yes some things are there which I disliked first is the campus is very strict and no function are organised yearly ones or twice is very sad thing as compared to other campus
Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Placement Experience:

Students got opportunity to eligible after 3rd year mainly in 7th semester students get opportunity for campus interview. In my college the company which came to hire is congizent and microsoft and amezon and dell nearly 80 to 90 company are came. The company offers is highest is 40 lack per annum which google provide and minimum is 4lack . Mainly 80 percent of the students are placed every year but due to war happened in the global impact in placement I want to do masters in abroad and then go to the company

Likes

very first thing i like in the college is the wifi network,
the library which is very peace and silent
average places to take photos and nearby there is nandi hills to visit

Dislikes

i dislike the distance of the college, its too large, should walk soo much
the cost of stationaries in the general store
i dont think so faculy are that much expertise , only countable people worth it

see i have choosed this course because it is very relatable to CSE, coz my ranking was not sufficient to get this course. the course which i took "Information Science and Engineering" is really a good course. they make us real world engineers. the area they shld actually improve is, hiring worthable faculty.

Campus is good and mainly located near Whitefield.
too good supportive professor. Staff are too chill. Some staff are like our bestfriend's.
Lab equipment are good . You are not facing any issue with pc.. it's good

Dislikes

There is only few events in a year. I think only 3 events.
Hostel building is too bad. And hostel food is too bad.
There is no field to play games like cricket, football.

Placement Experience:

After 8 sems we are eligible for placements. TCS ,Dell and many companies visited mvj. Highest package of mvj was 22lakhs per annum. Basically some companies ask CGPA at above 8. My plan is a developer after my engineering in python language or Else I will continue my dad business

Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

Likes

Canteen is fine has nice and tasty food and quite a lot of options
Library is also good has every book related to my course and few others as well
Lab facilities are also very nice and the college has a nice crowd

Dislikes

It's nothing like I expected, they don't let students use the ground or turfs. Facilities are pretty bad.
They charge money for everything and has zero facilities for college students. Everything is for there school students.
College is very small and the faculties are rude to students. (Mostly the case)

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.

Good ranking of college among other private colleges of India
Best location of college in the silicon valley of India
Various opportunities of internship to students

Dislikes

Campus area of the college is less than expexted
Conditions of hostels and mess is not good
Teachers and professors are not good in explaining concepts to students

Placement Experience:

From the end of 6th semester students become eligible for campus placemets.Many companies visit the campus including Oracle, UI path, etc offering students interships and full time jobs.The highest package offered to the student is 50 lakh per annum from UI Path and the average package of CSE branch is around 10lakh. Nearly 93% of students are placed in various companies.My plans after graduation is to grab a good on campus placement and look forward to my other goals in my life.

Remarks:

No comments on management except on decision taking, they take strict decision on attendance, discipline etc but we don't like tat. As though students are ment to break rules.

I tried for dayanand sagar but didnt want to get into it as the fees was on the higher side comparing to new horizon college.
