Remarks
In my overall experience,Bhairab Ganguly college has the balance between curriculum,extra curricular activities,internal environment and external environment.The campus is pleasing for both body and mind.The teachers are always aware of the curriculum.There are always extra curricular activities and events.The labs,hall,and classrooms are neat and clean.The library is always ready to help the students.And the student support helpline is always active.Also there are medical staff too.There are always discounts for students in the cafeteria.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of the course is complex.But to simplify things we have teachers who can guide us individually.We also have the option of visual projection.Also we can borrow various books from the library(according to our needs). The exam structure- There are total of 3 exams per year.First is after 6 months(after beginning the course),2nd is the Test examination which is 2 months after the 1st exam.The 3rd is the final exam of a year(2 months after the test).However the syllabus has been changed since last year(from 1st year students).The old syllabus still continues for us(2nd years).
Placement Experience
Our college offers various job opportunities from many companies.We get online notice about job opportunities every month.Our college provides internship too.Recently there were job offers from ABP Ananda and Paytm.The salary also described within the notice.
College Events
There are various events celebrated in our college.These are the following-Swaraswati puja,Annual sports event,Independence day,Annual dramas,Workshops,Teachers day and many special occasional events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure completely depends on the selected course and subject combination.The fees are fair enough to be honest.The practical subjects are a little expensive because of laboratory usage.There are discounts too(for sc students).
Fees and Financial Aid
There was a scheme of scholarship offered by our college.For the honors students or students of good merits was offered a scholarship.That offer was at least two years ago.The new scholarship offers are given between 6-12 months.
Campus Life
The science and geography labs are maintained properly for everyday use.There's a playground located at the Back of the building.Every sports events(such as football,tennis,cricket) are held there.The playground also maintained properly for daily use.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network in our college is great.The senior students are making it great.They are in charge of magazine publishing,news letter publishing and fund collecting(for both the organization and college facilities).
Faculty
The teaching staff is very important for any college.The teachers from our college is very experienced.They doesn't focus on continuous reading or timed lectures,instead they helps us to understand,they doesn't depends on book limitations.They always tries different ways to teach.In other words they focuses on individual students.There's at least 5 teachers for each department(including hons,gen,major,ma).
