Course Curriculum Overview

4

I'm pursuing B.tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science(2022-2026).I got this seat through Kcet entrance exam. This course provides essential skills in AI and data science. Also provides latest knowledge in that domain. College also offers minor - degree courses during 3rd year and also gives many internship opportunities.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internships can be taken from 6th semester as the students become eligible only from them on and in 7th semester, department makes it compulsory for all students to do one internship within the completion of that semester.Students will have to do one mini project and major project during the course

On campus placements are available in Reva University. The management make sure ,it is 100% placements. From 6th semester ,students become eligible for internships and placements .During 7th sem, 6 months of internship is compulsory, students need to do atleast one internship. Many companies like Accenture, TCS, Bosch, IBM, Infosys, Goldman Sachs,Toshiba and many more companies. Total recruiters-450(approx) Highest package -50 Lpa(2023),30Lpa(2024),40 Lpa CTC(1 lakh stipend).

Fees and Financial Aid

Receiving a KCET scholarship worth ?4,40,000 for four years, with ?1,10,000 per year, has been a huge relief for me and my family. It has made pursuing higher education much more affordable, and I’m grateful for the opportunity. Knowing that my tuition fees are mostly covered allows me to focus on my studies without constantly worrying about finances. Many of my friends who joined through management quota had to pay over ?3,00,000 per year, and that’s not even counting the extra ?1,00,000 or more they spend on hostel fees. Seeing their financial stress makes me appreciate this scholarship even more. It’s not easy for everyone to afford such high costs, and I feel lucky to have this support. The scholarship also motivates me to do well academically. For exam fees it's another 3k to 3.5k per semester,no lab fees

Campus Life

5

Main annual cultural event conducted in Reva University is Revothsava for 2 days and technical events are conducted by each department. In Cse there is technical event called essenCSE conducted every year where you have games treasure hunt, murder mystery and many more, and you will be awarded with a prize money. There is one central library in the campus and also also department libraries. Many activities intra-college, inter-college,state level competition conducted for all types of sports (cricket, swimming, kabbadi, kho-kho, football, throwball and many more) Many students form a group /club related to technical stuffs which is coordinated by few facilities.OS code community, Devtrack, AI related clubs are few groups run by the students

Admission

Reva University accepts Kcet exams and they have there own exam - RevaCet.During my admission college provided 50000 scholarship for management quota.I took up management quota in the beginning for Electronics and communication engineering, where my course fees was 3,25,000 per yr.After scholarship it was cut down to 2,75,000(conditions apply). Then in Kcet counselling,I got AI&DS seat in third round and shifted my branch.

Faculty

4

The student-to-teacher ratio at Reva University is approximately 13:1(17000 students and 1300 teachers)not sure about exact number. There are two internal assessment per semester for 40 m each which is cut down to 20 and 10 for assignments. Sem end exam for 100 words, this is cut down to 50.So overall (20+20+10+50=100). Difficulty level of exams ranges from easy to moderate

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs
