Remarks

I can say that Ambedkar University Delhi is really a very unique University than any other Colleges of DU and also low Politics promoted in the University Campus by the Students itself. Only Peacful Protest allowed in the campus. Teachers are always available for your help. Also the senior administration team is always available in the SUS office.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Course curriculum is Good but there you may face the problem about reading material,books and assessment. There are mostly assignments which carries 50-70 percent of total semester grade and there is only 30-50 percent marks which is based on examination. Also Attendence play a major role in next year promotion. There are two grades cut policy for attendece 50 percent or below.

Placement Experience

There is a Placement Cell which helps the student in the Placement and Jobs after the Graduation. There are many undergraduate courses, Post graduate courses, M.phil, M.des, PhD in various streams etc.

College Events

In the college campus you can see minimum 5 events per Months. There is also College fest organise in the month of February every year called AUD@City. Also many other events on History related , Socilogy related , dance , drama etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is little bit expensive but you can get Financial support by the University and Govt of Delhi on the basis of Latest Income certificate. There are Feed waived Slab based on your Annual Income. Income below 3 lakhs per annum get the full fees waived off. Income more than 6 lakhs per annum do not get any fees waived off.

Fees and Financial Aid

Only Fees waived facility for Income below 3Lakhs per annum. According to my knowledge. Maybe you can approach any Bank for Education loan. There is fees waived for all the students on the basis of Latest Income Certificate. Income between 3-6 lakhs can get Benefit of it.

Campus Life

There is a large ground in the centre of University Campus and also a Basketball Court present in the University Campus. For Indoor Games, also Club facility available,Table tennis, Chess etc available in the Campus premises. Computer lab and Auditorium also available in the University Campus.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel available only for Girls and also at a High Price. Also limited Seats available.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna

Senior Students are very helpful and they are very friendly and greets you in a very polite and positive way. No kind of Ragging allowed in the Campus. Also the students Assured that there is no such kind of illegal activity promoted by anyone. You will surely get a strong positive vibe in the University Campus.

Faculty

Faculty of Ambedkar University is handpicked by the best Universities of India. Majority of Faculty was From University of Delhi and also there are some Faculty from other countries. Faculties are really Good in Nature and always accessible.

Likes

Personally I like my college's environment. It's so friendly and cooperative.
It's an all girls college so it's so comfortable as it is away from male gaze.
I highly do recommend this college for study and personal growth.

Dislikes

I somewhat dislike it's canteen. The food is not as good as our expectations.
The prices in canteen is very high with low quality food.
I dislike the thing that a few professors favour some fix students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yeah the curriculum here is so strong, it's student friendly and ability enhancement. The courses offer here are relevant and can be applicable in our day to day lives. It gives us insight into ourselves.

Affordable fee structure that makes higher education accessible to students from different financial backgrounds.

Dislikes

Limited opportunities for regular classroom interaction and face to face engagement with teachers and fellow students.
Students pursuing distance learning may need to rely more on self-study and independent preparation
More regular communication, student support, and interactive academic activities would improve the overall learning experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

College crowd is very active and diverse, giving opportunity to learn and explore.
Teachers are very well educated and friendly towards the students.

Dislikes

Sports facilities at the college need to be improved.
Few teachers methods of teaching are traditional and outdated.
There is strict criteria for attendance, to maintain 66.7 percent

Placement Experience:

Final your students are eligible for the campus placement. Companies visited are HDFC Bank, Zomato, Swiggy, mahindra,EY, Deloitte and others. Highest package was around 30 lacs per annum and the average package is around 4 lakhs. Job profiles were mostly business analyst, research and development, PR and others. I will prepare for civil services examinations after clearing my graduation.

Our placement services is efficient and effective which always comes up with quality companies in terms of employment and package.
We have solid infrastructure which includes medical rooms, basketball ground, main ground, fest ground etc.
Our faculties expert in their teaching of respective subject where the teaching method is technology based and mentorship quality is demand based

Dislikes

Our course curriculum is relevant but sometimes it lacks little practical learning.

Placement Experience:

Student set in the placement from 5th semester where where is companies visited college for the campus placement such as KPMG, Zomato Deloitte, etc and number of offers made were not explicitly disclosed by the college and highest package was 25 lakhs and average package was 4 lakhs and profile offered were finance, marketing, etc around 70% students placed from my college and my plans after the graduation is to pursue PHD.

Moments of happiness

Likes

I liked the ration of girls and boys it's almost same .
The teaching method of teachers and the library.
College infrastructure and various opportunities and sports ground .

Dislikes

Events in college are usually too short like till 5 pm only .
Classes starts at 8:40 in winters atleast it should start by 10 .

Placement Experience:

English hons is not a course in which placement is that widespread as far as I'm aware . But our college provides placements for other courses like b.com etc and we have placement cell which keeps updating us on internship or placement opportunities and overall package is quite good .

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Honest review of ddu

Likes

The teaching faculty is really nice and polite. They usually help students even when u contact them after college hours.
The engagements and the quality of the social interactions in this college is also very good and very uplifting.
The quality of the infrastructure is very good compared to other colleges in du, considering its very new.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because the thought of learning about the literature of the older times was pretty exciting to me while I was choosing the course. The curriculum however does prepares you if you want to continue ur academic journey in the English field.

Ramjas the heaven on earth

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.

I applied to DU and Christ University. I did not choose DU as the college i got was not that good in terms of faculty and overall environment and infra.
