My college life at Doon University

The course curriculum is interesting and understandable. The methods used by the faculty to teach is mainly based on the real word situations. Like having a conversation in French with role playing tasks and what not

We had Amazon, Wipro and Accenture last year for Campus placements. The highest package was of 13 lakhs PA and the average package was of 6 lakhs PA My plans after getting the degree is to opt for a corporate job.

We paid 23000 (17000) course fee and (6000) as the caution fee in the first semester. The tuition fees remains the same (17000) for the following semesters. The fees of my batchmates were also same (?17000). For the masters program the admission is a walk in process.

There are lot of cultural fests that happen in the college as there are lot of cultural clubs like theatre, dance, music, literary and art club. These clubs conduct orientation like session that are more like a fest and they all collaborate together for a major collaborative orientation that is more like a fest. There are other fests like Diwali fest, Holi fest and Inter department sports events as well.

The hostel facilities is okayish. In my opinion it's neither too good nor too bad. The hostel is clean with tidy washrooms and a neat mess which is a common area for everyone to have their meals. The registration process is both online and offline but it's better if you opt for the offline mode.

My CUET PG score wasn't satisfactory for the eligibility criteria for JNU and the colleges from where I got offers were far and my parents feared as the language might be a problem in those region where I was selected.

The faculty-student relationship is amazing and friendly. The teachers are approachable and helpful. They share their experiences of the problems they had when they were students more relatable and interesting.

Both boys and girls hostels are equipped with gyms. There are lot of hangout spots for people. Like cafeteria, Hari Bhaiya ki Tapri and the Campus ground (which is also a public area). We also have an Open Air Theatre in which lot of cultural programmes happen.
