Likes

So first thing I like about my college is the infrastructure which is too good comparing from other colleges of off-campus.
Second thing is the hockey ground. As shyam lal college has a wide area for hockey ground.

Dislikes

I didn't like the faculty that much because they don't use to respond timely and most of them just show attitude.
The canteen area is also too bad. They don't have a proper sitting and food is aldo not that good.

Course Curriculum Overview

As my course is B.A. Program meanwhile I pursued Science in 12th class, hence it is not that relevant for me. But if we see then this course is very helpful for the students who want to have 2 subjects in their degrees.

Class Size: 25Course Fees: INR 12550 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

So in 1st year we had submitted fees as 12,550INR for a year including admission fees, tuition fees and other college facilities. We have approx 1510INR as the examination fees per semester. Both examination fees and college year fees increases or decreases according to college convince and no. Of practical subjects.

Campus Life

Shyam lal college evening organises fests and functions in college but the college doesn't pass appropriate budget to celebrate that thing. We don't have the open area for organizing any fest properly.

Admission

I applied in Shyam Lal college evening through CUET exam. Afterall I scored 681 marks after normalisation. I filled my preference sheet and put shyam lal on first preference as it was showing in north campus. So it was Just a scam. Other colleges of north campus like HRC, KMC, Ramjas are better then shyam lal in all parameters

Faculty

The faculty of Delhi University usually changes but if we talk about the teachers in Shyam Lal college evening, the faculty is worst I had ever seen. The don't respond to the students and always pretend as it was our fault if we can't find them in the whole college.

Night Life

There's no nightlife in the campus as the campus area got closed by 8Pm and next day college open at 7Am. The college doesn't have hostels and all so it basically doesn't have any type of nightliy. The nearby area is too bad also, as it isn't safe for girls, robberies happens and many more things.

THE ALL ROUNDER

Likes

The college has a very beautiful greeny campus.
The library is just the best thing that the college has , it is the largest in du, with computers study area all books and magazines newspaper and other necessities.
The students and teachers are very kind helpful ambitious and intelligent , you will learn a lot here.

Dislikes

The administration sometimes works too slowly regarding dew things.
The canteen is very big and food is also nice but in rain water gets concentrated there.

Placement Experience:

it is said that the placements of this college are good and average being 10LPA and 17 LPA the highest. Many companies come for the placement drive every year and many of seniors have got placement in their third year.

Likes

I liked the Vibe of the Campus and Culture

Placement Experience:

Placments here are good , Reputed Companies here visit campus offering great packages like Asian paints and MRF. They also help student in preparing for the Placements by organizing variouas events and sessions

Moments of happiness

Likes

I liked the ration of girls and boys it's almost same .
The teaching method of teachers and the library.
College infrastructure and various opportunities and sports ground .

Dislikes

Events in college are usually too short like till 5 pm only .
Classes starts at 8:40 in winters atleast it should start by 10 .

Placement Experience:

English hons is not a course in which placement is that widespread as far as I'm aware . But our college provides placements for other courses like b.com etc and we have placement cell which keeps updating us on internship or placement opportunities and overall package is quite good .

college provide good placements. Recently companies like deloite, paytm, zepto, agile, insplore and many more companies visited in campus. only 3rd year students are eligible for campus placement. Average package company offered is 500000. as for internships only 5th semester in 2nd year are eligible for applying in internships.

The professors in my college are very supportive
There is many opportunities in every field of engineering
No crowded place professors support in projects and guides you to get better placement

Dislikes

Hostel management are very low lack of room for home state students
Due to construction dust is flowing around

My college provide good no. Of placement and placement from 7th semester students are eligible for placement many companies come over for recruits highest package is 6 lakh to 80 lakhs above 6 cgpa students are eligible to sit on placement

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

Fully solar energy used for electricity in Hostel and campus
Wi-Fi is working properly and fast all over the area.
Hostel and hostel mess are neat, well managed and hygienic

Dislikes

Sports facilities are not too well in this campus
There is zero spot of E- vehicle charging.

This course is newly introduced by seeing the upgradation of the industry by involving AI & ML in that work, this campus and course doing great work. There should be improvement in lab classes only and Exam are done easy to moderate level.

Likes

The opportunity of placements are very good.
Faculty is very helpful and strict at the same time.
The privilage of free treatments for students and their families.

Dislikes

The campus is small and no fests are there.
No canteen is there and only badminton court there .
Girls hostel is there but not so comfortable it is.

Placement Experience:

Placements are the best part of this whole course. Placements are provided vy the college, at the end of the course which is of duration of 4.5 years. The placements can be at Govt. Hospitals, like AIIMS.

Remarks:

Faculties of this institute are good and helps in understanding each and every thing clearly and also it is near to my house. Campus is also good with every facility that a student needs. This college also provide teaching material to students so that they can get their concepts clear even at the time of exams.
